Subliminal? Mistake? Freudian Slip? Coincidence?
See if you can spot it. Then you decide.

Do scilons ever opine about Hubbard's lack of foresight re the internets? That was a big miss in his postulating.
The power of it appears to have caught them all by surprise.

More so when considering that 75 million years ago there were rocket planes, similar to DC-8's, which could fly at more than light speed. And the creatures making that possible didn't have internet?
If Hubbard was right about "history", why didn't he know that!?

I may have heard wrong, or maybe they redid the audio, but the first time I heard Hubbard doing the OT 3 thing, on the TV news, what I heard was "DC-3" not "DC-8." Like I said, I may have heard wrong. I believe he says rocket engines instead of propellers. I think he did say, "propellers." DC-8s don't have propellers. They have jet engines.

Yes, Hubbard said propellers. That's why I thought it was odd, as the DC-8 was a jet plane. In this tape Hubbard certainly says "DC-8's". Listen at 3:25. There he says that DC-8's are an exact copy of these space planes, except that DC-8's have fans, propellers and the space plane didn't.

That's what always confused me about that statement. On jet engines, the first part of the engine that air encounters is called the "fan", unless he was referring to a "turbo prop" engine which has a prop driven by a jet engine .

It's not really clear on the DC-8 history page if it was first introduced as a turbo-jet, a turbo-prop or a choice of either.

Anyhoot, the whole story sounds like something he pulled out of his ass in 5 minutes. Not much imagination from someone who's supposedly a sci-fi writer, IMO.

Yap, you’re right, Wieber. However, I had a different idea -- “Ron’s home” is the grave now, isn’t it?

I think L Ron used DC8s and other present time "facsimiles," because he couldn't begin to create or explain the actual science behind anything more than that, and because it makes for easy visualization. He didn't want to create questions or provide opportunities for his victims to swerve off path. He wanted his followers to be receptacles only. so all the present-time imagery makes the zany bullshit easier to digest.

The swatika or it's mirror image is also a symbol in Buddism.

In sanskrit the word "swastika" means good luck, and the hooked cross is a symbol for that.

Adolph and crew managed to change all that. I think, in their view, they were acting for "the greater good."
