If Farrakhan puts his organization into the hands of Scientology he makes it junior to Scientology and he makes himself David Miscavige's follower. Under those circumstances Farrakhan is by no means David Miscavige's equal. That doesn't happen in cults. Farrakhan is, and always will be, Miscavige's junior, just like everyone else involved in Scientology.

I think Nation of Islam became a cult after Farrakhan told his followers that he is a prophet.

It appears there is a split between Scientology and Nation of Islam caused by Hubbard's assertion that Mohammad is not real (he is an implant). Also the Xenu story does not sit well with Nation of Islam members.

It always has been a cult. That is why Malcolm X and Muhammad Ali left it and joined main-stream Islam instead.
