Er, well, it's spam does. 47,000 spam messages awaited me this morning, mostly a giant multipart yEnc message. For those senior citizens who still understand Usenet headers:
From: Angelika Thonauer <email@example.com>
Subject: Scientology Austria [39531/39856] - "tif6GImdeWCP5.tif" yEnc (6/7)
X-Newsposter: newsmangler 0.1.0git (python-vanilla) - https://github.com/madcowfred/newsmangler
Date: 26 Jun 2012 08:57:28 GMT
Newsmangler is a basic binary Usenet posting program, ie not your normal method for posting.
ARS has had no OSA presence for a long while, just a few critics posting plus a couple of trolls for entertainment.
[added] Angelika Thonauer of Austria is a Scientologist:http://www.truthaboutscientology.com/st ... nauer.html
The content appears to be files from her personal computer related to Scientology - Emails, the Vienna Celebrity Center website, spreadsheets, etc. We are somewhat puzzled - did she intend to give us this or was she hacked?
The spam was promptly cancelled by an automatic bot.
