Hi, DA57.

According to Karen de la Carriere (Heber's ex wife) Heber is still being held at Gold Base, and is still in "the hole".

Heber is 76 and still being abused by the Cult!! Elder abuse - way to go Miscavige - what a brave, tiny, small, miniscule, little runt you are!

You would think that the next step for any of these news organizations that ran stories about his son would want to speak to Heber too to get the cult side of this story. At the very least ask where the heck is he?

They have, and have been given the same line of bullshit as when they ask to interview Miscavige. He's too busy working... not available to do interviews.. etc.

The media needs to hammer down and tell the PR scum at the cult that they won't air anything the cult gives them, unless they speak directly, face-to-face with David Miscavige or Heber.

In order to get their story, and to show fairness, the media is quick to accept whatever the cult's PR spokeswhore, Karin Pouw, sends them.

Well I think it would shine a more positive light on the cult if they did polish Hebe's up and run him out to say hi. To the rest of the world, the idea of a father who just lost his son, as working to hard to take time to make a statement let alone grieve is not normal. Did they have any other children?

On a search on Ancestry.com:
I didn't find any other children Jentzsch with mother DeLaCarriere.
I didn't find any children Jentzsch with mother Wilson (Heber's prior wife was Yvonne Wilson Gillham, born Yvonne Wilson; her first husband was Peter F. Gillham).
I didn't find any children Gillham with mother name Wilson, either.
If any children were born in Florida, their birth record isn't on Ancestry. So there could be children or step-children born in Florida, but I haven't heard of any.

Im just thinking that the mom here should put some Katie Holmes type pressure on the cult. Has Hebe's disconnected from her? If so, she has nothing to lose, but might gain the freedom of this old clam.

I wonder who is the next of kin for Heber, now. A widowed daughter-in-law isn't a blood relative. Maybe one of his many Jentzsch siblings can be found and ask after him.

Heber's age of 76 might enable social services to check on him. Items investigated might include diet (beans and rice only?), sleeping quarters (cement floor?), hygiene, and medical and dental care. When folks get to his age, many start needing family assistance and extra help anyway. A welfare check on an elderly person who just lost their only child and is isolated from their family sounds logical without making it about Scientology. Elder welfare and elder abuse is serious business (well, in the Sunshine State anyway).

Is their any desire, initiative, or plan to get Heber out of there?

Anyone feel like brainstorming that?

Wikipedia says he has 42 siblings. Heber is son of polygamist Carl Jentzsch and Carl's third wife Pauline, and has not been seen publicly since 2004. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heber_Jentzsch

I'll look for a family tree with him on it.

42 siblings!
What would happen if a bus load of relatives would one day show up at Gold Base and demand to see him? :)

I propose that Heber's father is Carl E. Jentzsch born 1901 in Sweden, who was officially married to Veda.
There is an obit for a son of those two, also named Carl who died in San Bernadino, CA. His obit lists siblings: Eugenia, Joanie, Gerry and Donald; unfortunately spouses or the sisters' married names are not given.
Quote:
Carl Jentzsch
Carl departed his body on April 7th, in Encino, California. He was 85 years young. He was born the first son of Carl E. and Veda Jentzsch in Salt Lake County, Utah. He is survived by his siblings, Eugenia, Joanie, Gerry and Donald; and his two daughters, Dr. Sherry Baker of Provo, Utah, and Connie Snyder of New Mexico, and their families, including six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Carl was a friend of Bill W.'s for 50 years and over those five decades spoke to and helped thousands rediscover their lives. He believed in giving service to others, asking nothing in return. He requested no memorial service. His ashes, per his request, will be scattered in the winds over the Pacific Ocean. He leaves with a farewell for now until we greet him again. In loving memory: His brothers and sisters, his daughters Sherry and Connie and their families.
Published in Los Angeles Daily News on April 18, 2010

A polite request to Dr. Sherry Baker of Provo Utah should confirm whether she has an "Uncle Heber" who went into Scientology. If so, can she help us locate any living and willing aunts and uncles who would be siblings to Heber? I need to remain anonymous so I can't do it.
