Come on, 12 missions in Kazachstan? :? One of the most remote and sparsely populated countries in the world? They have maybe 15 million inhabitants, many of them nomads. Most of the ethnic Kazach are Muslim. The fourty-something percent of the population that is Russian mostly belongs to the Russian Orthodox (Christian) Church .
To compare: Neighbouring country Kyrgyzstan has only one mission, even India (1 billion people) has only two. Most European countries only have a few.

Does this strong representation of COS in an allmost empty and very remote country in Central Asia have anything to do with the fact that Ms. Irina Mappin, co-owner of the Camelot Hotel in Cornwall, England is Kazachstani by birth and married to a prominent English scientologist? Watch the video's on

http://www.xenutv.com/blog/?p=5084

The promo-video is truly hilarious. The celebration of the Kazach presidents birthday in the hotel. The man isn't even there  Hilarious.

Just as hilarious as 12 COS missions in a country like Kazachstan. Maybe they count the private home of each scientology-member as a mission? That way they'd probably get to 12.

Enjoy the Camelot-videos! Love, Sekh

I bet you are right, Sekh! People have looked in to addresses of supposed orgs and missions many times only to find out it was a mail drop box or private home, etc.

There are a couple of long running threads with lots of information about scientologist John Mappin and his wife Irina on WWP:

So, we have a convicted fraudster millionaire and failed soft-porn star and musician, in partnership with a terrible artist and musician, both of them sci's, in a Fawlty-Towers hotel, possibly staffed by Sci's, with bookcases and rooms infested with LRH books and CD's.

Thanks for the links, Ladybird!

I can't keep wondering why members of an organisation that is so concerned with human rights as the COS seems to be, see for instance http://www.scientology.org/activity/hum ... ights.html

endorses a president with an atrocious human rights record, according to Amnesty International. See:

http://www.amnesty.org/en/region/kazakstan

Saying this, I also wonder if this mr. Nazarbayev even knows his name is being used in a commercial for an English tourist trap and an international religious cult. :?: Somehow I have the feeling the man doesn't have the slightest clue.
He must be way to busy surpressing dissidents at home to celebrate his birthday on the other side of the world with a nobody like ms. Mappin.

And one can mention a lot of negative things about dictators, but usually they, or at least the advisers they use, have quite a good taste for luxury accommodation and fine arts. Neither of which are to be found at the Camelot Hotel.

Oh well, let's just say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.... :cyclopsani:

Love, Sekh.

Borat, yeah. But only to the orgs, The poor people of Kazachstan can't help it. They've got plenty of misery in their lives without CoS or Borat messing up their lives even further.

But Borat messing up the presidents birthday-party in the Camelot hotel could be funny....

And they'll even have a real celebrity then. The good old president doesn't seem to make his grand entry, unless he sent his Thetan and left his body at home.... But in that case, why the helicopter.... :? Strange.

Maybe it IS time for some investigative journalism a la Borat.

(only joking), love, Sekh.

A 31-minute television report in Russian about Scientology in Kazakhstan was recently posted on the gs1867 YouTube channel. The program's title is "Scientology: Religion? Business? Espionage?" and the YouTube video's title is "Scientology: The Clearing of Kazakhstan".

It begins with scenes of a police raid on the Scientology Mission in Almaty (date not specified). The program focuses first on the painful story of Gulshakhar Zhakypova, a mother disconnected from by her daughter, Meruert. Yuri Chigrin, who was on staff at the Almaty mission, shows his SP declare on goldenrod (printed in English, see 12:29) and the report explains Scientology's fair game policy. Other subjects are Scientology and money; front groups such as Narconon and Performia (business training); Scientology's intelligence gathering and the files it maintains; Scientology's opposition to psychiatry; Scientology's vitamin and sauna treatments; auditing; Narconon's activities in Kazakhstan.

The gs1867 YouTube channel also has other interesting videos about Scientology, for example:

А. Дворкин о Хаббарде и саентологии ч.1
("Alexander Dvorkin on Hubbard and Scientology, Part 1", in Russian, posted March 4, 2011)
А. Дворкин о Хаббарде и саентологии ч.2

Том Круз саентология (русская версия)
("Tom Cruise Scientologist (Russian Version)", posted Feb. 17, 2011; dubbed with a Russian voice-over and, in the background, Edward Hill singing the LOLOLOL song)

Thanks mnql1. Interesting, especially the raid video where one doesn't need to understand too much Russian to appreciate what's going on.

This would make fine post in the Media Reports section if you want to crosspost it there (or post it one place and link to it from the other). I'll leave it up to you.

Thank you, Sponge. Cross-posted to a new thread in the media section.

I might subtitle this some day, if time permits and no one else does it first.

Thanks, mnql1. This is interesting. Unfortunately I don't understand Russian, so if you ever have some time to spare... I would be very grateful for subtitles.

The military org Church of Scientology official pages point to: Kazakstan indirectly and not by main head-page. Which might be a sign of the deceptive makeups trying to cover the darkspots

Фурманова 115 (уг. ул. Толе би), офис 22
Almaty, Kazakhstan 050000
+7 727 228 0959
8 (727) 228-09-59 (Note the difference in the first number..)

+7 (705) 302 3031
Scientology church Asia Саентология Kazakstan (updating atm pointing to a big pentagram in Kazakstan
Центр Самосовершенствования Алматы
Community Organization in Almaty, Kazakhstan
Appears by the naming that some local restrictions have applied here, there is nothing about scientology or dianetics in the name. So the ordinary Scientology Trojan Horses might appear here. I dought that Scientology would drop the name without a good reason

Or Furmanova 115,Office 22, looking from the local Shops & Slaughter here Закрома, and havent yet located any Scientology trojan horses, ideal org or whatever.

This is Scientology but not the ordinary face, they might be reconstructing after the face loss.
Pretty new home page: https:// www idealorg asia/
Another homepage @idealorg kz
https:// www facebook com/idealorg kz/

Searching more local searchengines like Yandex: Саентология (Scientology)
Result pointing in many direction and this has to be updated. This military organizations religious bigotry with all its Trojan horses makes it hard to see and realize what is what. Scientology have been proved to be a terrorist organization among many other things, just look at the scandal of scientology and how scientology tried to murder Paulette Cooper, not only destroy, there was a highly probable murder attempt to.

testing Саентология казахстан : "Scientology Kazakhstan" again later.

Input wanted & any local knowledge from Kazakhstan is highly appreciated
- The widely reported fraud case in Scientology Kazakhstan might be a reason between pre-trial and trial
Almaty police has begun pre-trial investigation into the fraud on a large scale by the leadership and functionaries of the public association "Center of Almaty cultivation", reports the news agency "Interfax - Kazakhstan". According to police, the center refers to the Church of Scientology.

Almaty Scientologists are also suspected of fraud
Internal affairs agencies conduct pre-trial investigations into fraud on a large scale (Article 190 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan). Under suspicion, the leaders and functionaries of the public association "Center for Self-Improvement of the City of Almaty" (refers to the so-called " Church of Scientology ", deprived in 2012 of the status of religious delicacy by the expert opinion of the Agency for Religious Affairs).

2016 this scenario might explain the most Google translate from https://rus.azattyq.org/a/27802151.html

In Almaty, an investigation into "Scientologists"
June 16, 2016
The Almaty police began a pre-trial investigation into fraud in a large amount on the part of the leadership and functionaries of the public association "Center for Self-Improvement of the City of Almaty", the Interfax-Kazakhstan news agency reported today. According to the police, this center belongs to the Church of Scientology.

"The basis for pre-trial investigations was the complaints of former supporters of the organization about the receipt by their functionaries of large amounts of money through the abuse of trust in providing knowingly inconclusive services at an inflated cost," the press service of Almaty's "Interfax-Kazakhstan" quotes. According to the information of the Department of Internal Affairs, on Monday, June 13, in the office of the organization some material evidence was withdrawn, the names of which are not specified in the message.

A representative of the public association "Almaty Center for Self-Improvement", who introduced herself as Aigul, spoke with Azattyk today that the center is not related to the Church of Scientology. At the same time, she refused to comment on the information on a possible pre-trial investigation. Get comments in the press service of the Almaty Department of Internal Affairs Azattyk was not possible.

Searching government page http://www.government.kz/en/ nothing about scientology ....
searching President Nursultan Nazarbayev gives indication from the military bigotry that loves to label itself the religious church of scientology. Powerful humans is always threatening to any organ that wants to introduce the superhuman on surface one and on surface two near the core just want to satisfy itself.

Kazakh Agency for Religious Affairs launches its website http://www.din.gov.kz/
Kazakhstan has just finished re-registration of all the religious institutions in the county that slashed their number by one third. Besides, the classification of Kazakhstan’s confessions was clarified. This allowed to define their exact number: not 46 but 17. 16 out of 48 non-traditional organizations have been re-registered. The remaining 32 will be liquidated in court based on statements of Kazakhstan Justice Ministry.

Scientology seems to have been increasingly unpopular because of the fraud they always tend to do, by just taking and not delivering. This time it became to obvious and the Scientology with the Scientologist org did became increasingly unpopular & this might have caused and yet increased level in the org criminality leading to the pre-trial and failure to register as an org of Scientology. Now they hide as idealorg asia and idealorg kz
