Part of your "ethics handling" for being such a treasonous enemy to actually get yourself or your wife pregnant is to "deal an effective blow" to the enemy during your doubt formula., (don't ask, if you don't know, I will explain it later). One can be convinced that the greatest good for the greatest number of dynamics is to become celibate and/or sterile.

Even though you didn't know you were signing up for a life without children when you signed your billion year sea org contract, and you are povided no medical insurance nor enough pay to afford condoms, let alone birth control pills, you will find yourself in some deep shit if you dare to get pregnant.

Read some of the stories above, not just mine, go back a few pages. In fact, start at page one, just skip through the chit chat.

C.G., I did alot of my papers and speaches on scientology. It is a perfect subject for a psych major, and the free speech issues are fodder for your journalistic courses.

Some fuckwits think we ex culties are making a mountain out of a molehill, that is up to you to decide.

I hope you will do some research before making up your mind.

Best, Ladybird

Hi, C.G.
Sea Org is the militaristic and deeply cult-like leadership group in the Church of Scientology, where most of the abuses like forced abortions happen. CoS's ordinary staff members aren't Sea Org, don't sign the billion year contract, and can have children. Public paying members, as long as they keep paying and being obedient, can live their lives as they please.

Creed Pearson, Sept 29, 2005:
Quote:
. There was a time when I was like Hubbard and saw others as a threat to my children’s gene pool. That is somewhat ironic now, as it is unlikely any of my children will bear offspring, as abortions are nearly mandatory in Scientology’s Sea Org and there is no time for living or raising a family, just “Clearing the Planet.

Declaration of Astra Woodcraft
24 January 2001

"Approximately 1½ years before I left, a new rule came out stating that if you got pregnant, you had to either get an abortion, which was heavily pushed, or leave. The rule had previously been that if you got pregnant, you had to get an abortion or be sent to a small and failing lower organization where you had to fend for yourself and your baby.
I personally knew of three other girls who got pregnant and were convinced to get abortions. One was my sister-in-law who was 16 weeks pregnant when she was convinced to abort her child although she was strongly against it."

Note: Astra Woodcraft's story was recently featured in the September 05 Issue of Glamour Magazine.

My daughter was ordered to have an abortion
Open letter of Clarence Sevdy 31 July 1998

I asked for her permission to pass on her story, which she gave to me. While at Superorg in L.A. she was indiscrete...she got pregnant. She was told by those over her to make amends(I don't know Newspeak well enough to use here) . She was ordered to get an abortion!! She refused. Then the bullying started. She had signed a "billion year contract". Your church promised to send her home , but after a bunch of American Nazi wannabees kept her confined (all day in the patio area, not in a room, how kind they were) Then every day for three days , she was kept in a room with 10 to 12 screaning rageing maniacs doing a Chinese Brainwashing routine on her , with an E-meter .

NY Post: Abort-happy folks (Sea Org)

==========

ABORT-HAPPY FOLKS

June 29, 2005 -- THE new religion embraced by former Catholic schoolgirl Katie Holmes--unlike her original faith--actually
encourages abortion. As The Post's Philip Recchia has re ported, the
Church of Scientology assigned Tom Cruise's fiancée a full-time
handler, Jessica Rodriguez, 29, who is a member of the sect's elite
corps, the Sea Organization. Like all Sea Org members, Rodriguez is
discouraged by the sect from ever giving birth. And if she does get
pregnant, chances are she'll have an abortion. A former high-ranking
Sea Org member now tells Recchia: "It is estimated that there have
been some 1,500 abortions carried out by women in the Sea Organization
since the implementation of a rule in the late '80s that members could
not remain in the organization if they decided to have children. And
if members who have been in the Sea Organization for, say, 10 years do
decide to have kids, they are dismissed with no more than $1,000" in
severance. Our source's ex-wife was also a Sea Org, and she was
pressured by the church into having an abortion.

==========

It started on the Apollo, where Elwrong "Horrors of abortion in
Dianetics" Humbug didn't want any kids messing up his super Oatee
thinking powers. That's why his wife's secretary got three abortions
while on staff there.

And it's why Irene Howey (later Irene Dirman), one of his best
executives, left the ship rather than have an abortion.

In short, the abortion insanity came straight from - the
Flounder of $cientology himself.

It just so happens that this news report was mentioned on the Howard Stern show along with the usual gallery comments by Howard and the gang. So it got a bunch more exposure.

Ladybird et al. on this thread,

BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT

To let you know I had a call from my ex-sea org friend today. One of her siblings and his partner have just had a gorgeous baby boy, their first, and she was asked to be godmother which she accepted. His father, her brother, got out of the sea org awhile after she did. It was the best thing he ever did, he said, echoing everything she has ever said about leaving behind her experience in the cult's "military," as so very many others have attested here and elsewhere.

I'm able to say she has read this thread, is very saddened by it and simultaneously gratified to see it kept alive, especially now. Which sounds contradictory. I think she means to say there's hope.

I hope Astra's story and all the others online and published in hardcopy are somehow reaching young sea orgers who want children.

Subject: Re: abortion and the church of scientology

The quoted FO is quite old, from the early 80s.

Approximately 3-4 years ago, "Executive Director International" wrote a new
policy.

It stated that any Sea Org member who got pregnant would have to leave the Sea
Org. It stated that this was because the old policy of sending Sea Org Members
to Class V orgs was not improving the orgs.

Really what was happening is that each time a sea org member got pregnant, they
were sent to a "small and failing org" to build it up. They couldn't possibly
do that as they were sent to work full time for little money while having the
huge expense of a new baby and couldn't even make ends meet.

When the new policy came out about 3 years ago, there was a big briefing and
anyone who seemed unhappy about it was to be "handled" in ethics until they
didn't want to have children.

The policy did not state anything about abortion, because they do not want to
get caught pushing abortion. But believe me, they push it like crazy. People
all the way up to their precious RTC push people to get abortions because they
are desparetly hanging on to all the members they can get.

Since then, quite a few women have gotten pregnant and left. They are billed
for thousands of dollars on top of it. Talk about an insult.

Other women have gotten pregnant and then been coerced to get an abortion.

Abortion was pushed before this new rule came out as well. A Sea Org member
who got pregnant was sent to Planned Parenthood to arrange for an abortion.

I know of examples of pregnant women being literally screamed at and harrased
not stop when they got pregnant, even if it was an accident. They were told
they were 'counter-intention' and 'out-ethics' and all kinds of other things.

It is really unbelievable. The treatment of pregnant women in this organization
is criminal.

Braveheart's Girlfriend, Thank you so much for posting the "Birth Announcement" of your ex-Sea Org friend.

I am always so happy to read stories with happy endings...so many scientology stories are heartbreaking.

Congratulations to your friend and her precious new baby!

Best Regards, Ladybird
