Unfortunately for humanity (and all life on Earth), humans seem to have that insane ability hard-wired into the heads. Facts that contradict cherished beliefs tend to be rejected / ignored by the majority of humanity--- it seems to be rare that someone will modify or reject their cherished, much-hoped-for beliefs in the face of the facts showing those beliefs false.

is the fact that so many scientology people post nothing
more than complaints about psychiatrists a sign of psychosis?

At Clear, the central entity realizes that he/she is mocking it all up--which pivotal point in Scientology's pseudo-psychological programming is marked by a perspective change where the person's complexes are now projected outwards, and viewed as external to the person. The most simple way I would categorize scn programming is "controlled schizophrenia."

He either fears his fate too much
or his rewards are small
who fears to put it to the touch
to win, or lose it all.

If Scientology were nothing more than mental programming to begin
with, why then does scientology rail about deprogrammers?

A "Scientologist" is a person who is running Hubbard's mind and
conduct control program.
A Scientologist is a Mushroom, kept in the dark and fed bullshit.
A Scientologist is a person whose good nature has been hijacked
for undisclosed nefarious intents
A Scientologist is a Criminal but does not yet know it.

No matter how you try to rationalize,
justify it Scientology is the mother

My Back Pages

by The Byrds

Crimson flames tied through my ears
Flowing high and mighty traps.
Countless fire n' flaming rope
Using ideas as my maps.
"We'll meet on edges, soon," said I
Proud 'neath heated brow.

Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

Half-wracked prejudice leaped forth
"Rip down all hate," I screamed
Lies that life is black and white
Spoke from my skull. I dreamed
Romantic flanks of musketeers
Foundationed deep, somehow.

Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

In a soldier's stance, I aimed my hand
At the mongrel dogs who teach
Fearing not I'd become my enemy
In the instant that I preach
Sisters fled by confusion boats
Mutiny from stern to bow.

Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

Yes, my guard stood hard when abstract threats
Too noble to neglect
Deceived me into thinking
I had something to protect
Good and bad, I define these terms
Quite clear, no doubt, somehow.

Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

Scientology is not just the most vicious American cult, it's the most
pathetic. Scientology deserves the whole world's oppugnancy.

I've noticed that all the best scientologists (ie the most indoctrinated) are almost always lacking in good manners, compassion and respect for others. Seems to get beaten out of them somewhere on the Bridge to Total Freedom.

The definition of words is often the site of struggles over power in
any particular group. If you can define away a word enough, you can negate a lot of criticism.

As a never-been-Scientologist, I can state categorically that Scientology's reprehensible effects are *not* confined to the people directly sucked in and abused, but apply to society as a whole, which has been corrupted, harmed, damaged and perverted by Scientology (both the organization and the 'applied religious philosophy) since its inception.
