At midnight last night my phone rang.
It was a man, sounded rather odd, said "Hello".
I asked where he got my phone # from, and he
said, "Alt.Personal.Ads
I knew right away it was Scientology posting my name
to some porn site, but I wanted the info, so I asked.
"What did it say?"
He: "Blonde looking for Fun" on a Yahoo board.

Ok, so I explained to him that I had been in Scientology
for 30 years, and left, and have been speaking out. Due to this,
they have more than once posted my name to personal sites,
lying about me......basically using people such as himself, and I was sorry for that.
(To anyone new: the last time my friends traced the same site
computer address saying, "For a good time, call Tory" to the same computer address as "Truthseeker" uses-a supposed 'critic'
who has slammed just about every real critic there is, including
Andreas. Truth, my A**!)

I also told him NEVER to get suckered into Scientology. He agreed not to, and I wished him well in his adventures.

Scientology? You all are J E R K S with a capital J.

All this shall do is bring on more, faster, farther......
and many ~~many more shall hear of your disgusting actions,
learn what ALL you're about, and decide for themselves
whether they want to join a group who does such things, or not.

As I told you when I was "in", and since I left 5 years ago:

It's funny (in a really not so funny kind of way) that they tried to harrass you with this but instead all they achieved was letting you be able to explain your story to one more person, who from your post seemed to listen and take it all in...hopefully he will now tell more people, who will tell more people etc.

I don't think I've had a chance to say this to you yet - but your story was one of the first I read about somebody coming out of scientology and it provided me with so much great information that I have never stopped learning more about how insidious this group really is....Just thought you would like to know that you have created yet one more adamant anti-scientologist here!

If you can prove if it was someone from $CIENTLOGY. Trust me you can find ways like calling the guy back or check the website he mentioned. You know what I mean! You can get Civil Damages from them.

Any way you just made it worse by providing your # below your post because as an retired prankster I used to give out numbers of "FRIENDS" to telemarketers, Annoying people even scientology! No I was never in Scientology, but I am a comparative religion student so I went to the Scientology org near where I live for a bit of a fieldtrip as I had only seen the outside of the building and didn't know much about it at all.

But what I saw inside got me more interested in the group because they all seemed so vague and out of it...then I found your story and the things you said I could not believe I was reading! Ever since then I have had a kind of obsession with Scientology - to the point that I was talking about aspects of it so much that some people I knew thought I was getting involved! (Don't worry I quickly corrected them).

Suffice to say that because of your story over 100 people that I know have heard about all the bad things that Scientology has done in the past and continues to do. Some of those people were actually taking some courses at the time I spoke to them and stopped straight after...so essentially, even though I was never in, you did through me help some people get out at a very early stage before it was too late

I've done a quick search on google groups for you.
The most recent one I can find in alt.personals.ads is dated Sep 18th 2005.
There is another one in alt.personals.bondage posted on exactly the same date (within an hour of the other one).

Unless I've not done a proper search and based on the info you gave, it seems that it is more likely to be an old dirty trick that has resurfaced due to one unfortunate guy searching far back in the archive of newsgroup posts rather than the result of new postings.

One of them seems to have been posted out of an ISP based in Broomfield, Colarado. The other from an ISP in Stockton, California.
This suggests a co-ordinated effort since the posts were within an hour of each other and from two completely different places.

I have the links to the above two posts plus the header information which I can PM you if you want to contact google and try to get them removed from their archive (with the links, you can go to the post in question, click "show options", click "report abuse" and you can file a complaint to google on that post).
There is nothing you can do to effectively get them removed from usenet newsgroup servers around the world however, but since usenet tends to scroll off old messages after a short time anyway (depending on how busy a particular newgroup is) it is most likely that google's newsgroups would be the only real source of continuing problems of harassment from these old messages.
You could go even further and you may even be able to use the information to contact the ISPs and alert them of abuse of their service.

What a completely pointless endeavour on their part - but then you come aross as a very strong person to me - it was after watching the talk you gave at CFI West that got me to sign up here, hadn't really considered taking parts in the forum before.

I'm glad their intimidation isn't scaring you off, as you're an inspiration to a lot of people, and I hope it helps them leave when they have felt unsure and scared. Which is why Co$ is doing this, they fear you, and the example you have easily set for other people that want out of there.

There are legal options, such as civil damages (I'm not entirely sure of American law to be honest), however I'm fairly sure that would give them a day in court, and we know how they've managed to manipulate the legal system in the past, and how when they lose, it doesn't in anyway stop them.

I hope they continue being ineffective.

As to this critic, Cult Apologists are what allow Scientology and it's like to function, they confuse the matter by giving credibility to what they are, and what they do.

Truthseeker is not a critic? WOw - I thought he was the most dedicated critic I've ever seen with his continuous spamming of A.R.S and links to pictures of pornography. I was way off on this one.

It's horrible, really, how a person could be so misguided that they operate on notions of uncovering the "truth" while concocting lies, because it's for the greater good etc...


I'm not at all surprised Tory had the linguistic skills and charisma to actually be able to talk to the guy about Scientology, when the guy would've been majorly put off, not to mention annoyed, at the fact that she wasn't looking for someone.

I can't believe they did it again. While nothing surprises me when it comes to the twistedness of OSA and Shitspammer (TS) specifically, to utilize the same tactic shows how desperate they have become. Tory's "PROTECTION" is that she is a PUBLIC PERSON and if anything happens to her Media and everyone will KNOW beyond KNOWING that SCIENTOLOGY is responsible and they would never be able to worm out of it.
Their BS does not work anymore. They KNOW this, too. They are finding out everyday the SCN Network of Organised Crime is falling down its own rabbit hole.
