The so called "real" story of Bob Minton, is not much different
than the stories you hear about the church.

Lies, deceptions, payoffs, greed, selfishness, hidden agendas, betrayal.

But this is common in Scientology. It attracts many people
who are ALREADY attracted by power, and greed. Some are in
the church, some leave the church, and some (like bob) were
never members but just enjoyed the game. A game where individuals
lives are treated like PAWNS.

One more thing Patty:

Before you reply with "Zinj did this, Gerry Did that, Tom did this, Bob did that, Stacy did this, etc..." let me ask you a question. Have "they" ever heard of taking the high road? If "they" are the best and brightest critics out there, why would "they" do such childish BS? Wouldn't "their" website be all about undressing $cientology and not about Bush bashing and perpetuating old feuds with people who are on the same side?

It is good to read Patty that you're proud to stand up against the cult and it's bullshit. That's terrific progress in the fight against $cn's coercive tactics.

But to honestly believe that the future wellfare of other cult escapees lies in the tainted purity, smarmy sanctity, and faux wisdom of a small group of Buttersquash blogers, remains a tragic thought. Actually as silly ass and obtuse as the Religious Freedom Watch blog.

Wishing a great weekend to all.

Bingo!

My main complaint with the B.S.ers is how they want to come off as noble and good yet their actions are slimy.

Nothing suspicious about it at all. Many people were concerned that his story was based on unproved allegations about cult harassment.
Every conclusion reached about Tom Padgett and his case are based on copies of Legal court documents, letters written by him, recorded statements by him, interviews and sworn statements of people that know him and affadavits.

Let the reader be the judge about the credibility regarding his tales of cult harassment.

Thanks so much for the Buttersquash link Mike. After spending some time checking out the site, I realized $cientology and Buttersquash have something in common: They're both worse than you think!.......2)

[..]......Tom Padgett DA thread: Why do "they" have to bring up personal stuff about him? Why can't they just argue on the issues and not become the next RFW?

Because he taunted them for almost 3 years RIPOD. He dared them to prove
(what we all knew) with unending insults and flames.
Consequently Keith Spurgeon flew to the Kentucky courthouse and
copied the documents in question.
I hope that helps...

Oh such bull crap U-Mike, Keith Spurgeon did not fly to Kentucky to get squat. Diane Richardson and Tigger reported that your deep throat was Bill Whitledge, a paid and reatained lawyer for a $cieno the cult apologists Vannoys. He just sent on a bunch of paper with no purpose other than to DA me RFW style. Just a new slant on dumpster diving tactics.

You have yet to share your deep convictions here on OCMB as to why Bernie and your MC (moderate critic) views reigns the best approach to undressing $cn. Why?
Is it shame? Fear? Lack of backbone?

Patty's attempt to put the Buttersquashers on some plateau
of nobility has failed. So in your mind the only way to save this thread is to ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK.
You're too obvious in your smarm. Back to the drawing board and clay demos for you pal.

You bring new meaning to KSW (keep scientology working) ....KBSW (keep butter squash working.) <laughter>

I've let this run hoping it would die a natural death. It's time to go back to what this message board is actually for. It is here to help Scientologists who struggle with doubt and want out, and to assist their families and friends. It is here for the non-scientologist who want to understand and the ex-Scientologist who want to share their experience and the harm CoS did to them. For some it is therapy to learn they are not alone. It is meant to be a friendly place, where we come to be safe - not defensive. There are plenty of other places on the Internet where you can be and do other things.

OCMB is not here to debate other critics or their motives.

If you want to debate or have questions about what OCMB is to be used for then go to Feedback & Help.

Let me understand this. You think talking the "high road" is more important than the facts. You are not interested in the actual truth?

You'd rather allow critics to just blurt out anything as long as it was critical of Scn and facts be damn?

And btw, it's OK for people to have outside interests and political views.

The critic movement is not supposed to be a narrow minded focused cult. Critics are allowed to have websites where they can give their own views of things others than Scn.

Your post basically proves my point. There are a few guys like you that would make excuses for critics just like Scn makes excuses for Hubbard.

It's not OK when they do it and it's not OK when critics do it. Truth is more important than the "high ground".

What a wonderful point. Taking the high road.

That YOU have written.

It's a really really terrific concept.

Let's see its implementation.

I think a good summary here is...

THE TRUTH is better than the low road, better than the high road, and better than all roads that lead to Hubbards so-called tech in individual lives, families, and the media.

Accusations, allegations, and opinions are what they are. THE TRUTH is not synonmous with any one of these.

Example, in the matters of Paramount vs. Tom Cruise, everyone is hungry for THE FULL TRUTH to come out. But given $cienos long history of suppressing truth in any public forum, this may be difficult to ever achieve.
