How do I get pictures or stuff I've scanned into the text of my posts?

go to photobucket.com or some other place like that and open an account. Upload your photos into your photobucket account. When you create a post just go to the photo that you want to post that is residing in photobucket. I right click the bottom of the three URL's below the photo and 'Copy' it to my clipboard. Go back to the post you are creating and 'Paste' it in there.

When you 'Submit' your post, it should be there.

:)

Roan,

That's correct and that is how I do it.
I use photobucket.

Ok guys, I have about 23 pictures taken this weekend of orgs, missions in my area. I did what was recommended about using photobucket. Now bear with me, I am totally new to this.

If I use IMG clickable thumbnail, will the photos be too small to see? If I use IMG images won't they be just too big for this message board?

What do you guys recommend? I also want to say some remarks on all these photos, do I post a remark then paste the pic and just go back and forth?

daisy,

there is a certain very clever and funny poster here (Roan) :D who, if you'll notice the very clever and funny pictures he sometimes posts, uses Microsoft Paint to put the letters right on the juicy photos (before loading them up into PhotoBucket)! I'm told, for all his other purposes he uses Microsoft Photo Editor, it's very simple to use for his pea-sized and 2D obsessed brain!

In using Paint: use the letter tab, then make the background clear, then pick the color of your letters... and skewer away! Kind of hard to explain in writing... I'll send you a PM with Roan's phone #.... you're not OSA are you?

Roan says to use Mic. Ph. Editor to resize your photos so that they fit on posts. I don't know like, 500 X 800 pixels?? I think that it still large but does not make the thread go off screen-right.

Wow. It did it but you know what? It made it look like it was only going to post the URL link itself..the html commands until I sent the post. I think there's some more I gotta figure out about this. I uploaded a picture of my kitten but it was gigantic and so I deleted the post. I would probably want to resize anything I have in photobucket before posting...or most of it, anyway.

But I think the html text was there too.

I'm not sure I totally know what I'm doing.

Fluffy,
I hope that's not the avatar you've been wanting to bust out on us! It won't read as an avatar. Too small, dense and obscure.

Find a pinniped, post the head... that's what I do!

Hope that helps!

:D

Roan

Ok, Hoot...in Photobucket, see on the bottom of each image you uploaded that sez, "Image Code" ??
Just click on that ( it will copy it to your internal clipboard) and then you can paste it here and your image will show up in your post without a viewer having to click on it to see. ;)
