Scientology in LA: 3 Pickets in ONE :)

It's Sunday afternoon, and many Los Angeles people come out to go to a
delightful street fair in Los Felis, an area here near Hollywood that also
just happens to be quite near the Scientology complex, "Big Blue".

We had a friend with a booth there, so we decided to go.
Once I heard the location, I told my critic friend, "Trust me,
Scientology will be there".

LOL--it was a great day for the critics! Wink

First we walked up to these 3 young girls standing out in the closed off
street, asking us to come take a "Stress Test". Shocked

I just said, "No thanks...........I did that for 30 years"
They looked with shock, and great admiration:
"Really?" I said, "Yeah...I'm an OT 7"-----and while saying this,
they looked even more adoring----(Scientologists, especially newer ones,
love OT's--as sad as that is).......
AND I'm OUT!" cheers

As I walked on, smiling and never looking back, we could hear the shock in
their voices as they said: "You're OUT????" Question

We left them to think about what was said.

A few feet farther, was a booth of a chiropractor. Again, very friendly
like, she said, "I KNOW YOU!" I didn't recognize her and asked her name: Dr.
___. Since she was *so* inclusive, I figured no doubt she was a
Scientologist, and to confirm it I asked: "Are you a Scientologist"? "Yes! I
am~~ She said smiling away.

I said, "Well, I was a Scientologist for 30 years, but now I'm out--and
quite happy". She looked surprised and interested. I explained yes, I am now
a declared SP and have videos on the Net, helping explain things people
don't know about Scientology, probably even her. I also told her that there
was MUCH people "in" don't know, and I suggested she take time and look.
That yes, many Scientologists are very nice people and good, but those
running it ARE doing things that aren't good, and she *should* know, and I'm
sure she didn't." Evil or Very Mad

With that I wished her good luck, and we walked on. (What an SP!) alien

Lastly, (all in one block).....CCHR! I'd just watched the CCHR video with
the Mary Dumbass advertisement--and I even made a post about
Discrimination. So I said, "Hey---I just saw your web site, what's the deal?
You speak about "Human Right #2: Don't Discriminate", yet you all
(Scientologists including CCHR people) discriminate against people like
myself who did Scientology and left, and Afro-Americans. Don't
discriminate!" Nervous

And I walked on.

I could see someone zooming up to "Handle" him, and I wanted to finish what
I had to say.

Ok, so they weren't official Pickets, but damned good for a fifteen minute
walk, eh?

Los Angeles.................there's always *something* going on here Wink

I think you may have given these people things to think about which will put cracks in their little 'truman show' Wink

I think this kind of thing is sometimes more helpful than a confrontational picket (although that definetelely serves a purpose too!) because people don't have their defences up.Like the woman who knew you..she probably didn't expect you to be an evil SP,and i imagine you shook her idea of what an evil SP is!Let's hope so.

I agree with you, it no doubt did put a clink in their Scio/Truman shows,
and each one showed it in their faces. My friend (a critic--never been in)
was a m a z e d.

Now what shall occur will no doubt be even better: OSA "Handling them"---trying to black pr me, invalidate all critics, etc. I think that was what was SO surprising to each, as you could tell I was happy, relaxed, doing well, enjoying myself: Not the image they have of an "SP". They saw it with their own eyes, so sliming me only adds to their confusion. Go OSA Shocked

The next time that you are reminding them of their lack of discrimination, remind them about their stance on gays, the insane, journalists, etc. I wonder how many them had some not so positive sec checks that night.

Tory it's funny for me.

I remember Jerry Whitfield years ago telling me almost exactly everything you talk about today with OT levels and clear.
You do such an excellent job here explaining your experiences.

and it was interesting to read your story about the reaction of
young scientologists when you explained all your years in Scientology
and the fact you're an OT 7.It's amazing to read about reactions people
had to you.

Kaz......Isn't it amazing? The funniest thing is what I do now is exactly what I did while "In" Scientology, ASSisting OSA, that worked: Communicating...which, by the way, I learned from my Dad and Mom, years before I ever stepped foot in Scientology.

They could never figure out what I was doing that was "So successful" re handling the critics.
I'd tell the Execs, over and over, 'They're just PEOPLE! I'm just talking with them, vs. your "What are your crimes" which only makes people want to picket more." For some reason, they'd lost that ability to communicate with people of all different kinds.

And it's very successful to just say, "Hi---I'm an SP and I'm out". It's shocking--as I remember SO well the big hype Scientology makes about SPs. Good God, remember I thought Andreas was THE Devil! Rolling Eyes

Try it sometime~~Even if you're not a declared SP--you can say (to someone you know is working for C of S, or part of it):
"Hi~ I'm a friend of many happy SP's who used to be part of your group---and ya know what? They're doing just great. I hope you take a look on the Net for yourself"...and then walk on, or some such variation.

I can tell it isn't by Scios, as that photo isn't one of their better ones.

They only publish their best face, and work hard to find/get/catch REALLY bad ones of critics, and immediately post those. Morons, Inc. Rolling Eyes
