Is there a way to ignore just a particular thread?

I've looked for a way, but maybe I'm just missing it.

If there isn't, is there a way to easily institute such a feature?

Yes.

Its called the "stop finger from clicking" method.

This is how it works.

Step One: See undesirable thread, due to flame throwing, trolls, hijacks, etc.

Step Two: Notice finger moving to click.

Step Three: Tell finger, "No!"

Step Four: Ensure finger complies.

Step Five: Resume browsing of threads.

Well, I already do that. I'd just rather not have certain threads show up on my browser.

Still, glibness is to be encouraged. :D
