What's your opinion, Chuck, of what happens if Shelly outlives David Miscavige? Is she loyal to David,
or to the inner circle lawyers who will be grabbing the pieces of CoS?
Absolutely NOT an issue. I think she'd be loyal, not unless she somehow completely broached the wall of NO COMMUNICATION and contacted someone like Pat Broeker and Marty Rathbun and Steve Marlowe, or old CMO Messengers she was friends with through the years.
Not sure who are her friends.
You realize that this recent offloading of the 50 or so Int Base staff, there are clusters of them around the country, they are in touch, they are in good cheerful communication with oneanother.
In this internet age, Shelly could quickly get in touch with all of the ex defected biggies, if she chose, and I think she'd do that, if she did defect.
I don't think she's "money motivated" particularly, I mean she's not the type to grab the cult hoarded pile of money if that is what you are thinking.
Even for all DM's glitzy trappings as cult leader, his having to have ultra expensive suits, shoes, gear, trinkets, cars, he is still not completely over the top.
I know that Catholic Priests of Bishop level are paid as much as him, and realize he is sort of the Pope, so really by comparison, I don't honestly
think him completely over the top on his laviciousness personally.
I wouldn't think whoever replaces him will pay themselves 100 Gs, that's way too much. 40 Gs is plenty for COB RTC post, and really he just needs allowance for his cult leader uniform and maybe travel and entertainment expenses to woo the got bucks cult supporter celebs.
My opinion is she's loyal to LRH and thus the movement. She'd side with whoever is the next leader of the whole movement.
I personally got on well with her the tiny few times I had anything to do with DM. I noticed that to some degree Shelly would protect people she tried to sort of look out for and keep from pissing off DM, at least in 90-93 when I had a few tiny dealings with DM, being in his office to fix his stuck computer, was the only time I had to do a direct thing for him. My thoughts are she's likely loaded with some pent up anti DM feelings that are not going to go away, but of course she would still have loads of pro DM feelings also for obvious reasons.
God, if you think of it, this is movie material, the lives of the top people in Scientology.
Just doing a movie of the top 20 all time senior clever or exciting "blows" from the top ranks, would be a great movie in itself!
No one is going to grab the assets and run off with the beans, not those types of people who get near the big assets. The Int Finance Office people and whoever is overseas shuffling funds into all the accounts are not the embezzler types.
I think the attorneys are the only sort of class of people who might be in group cahoots in years past at bilking Scientology, for fees, and that kind of stuff. Not all of them, but some I think were taking advantage of Scientology's inclination to throw money at lawyers.
Realize the money needs to go back to ALL the people who were scammed by Scientology, who wasted money donating to SCientology, those are the people I feel who first deserve the money!
Shelly isn't the type to run off with the Scientology money, nor DM's money if she divorces him, that's not in the female cult wife pesonality that I can tell.
