Xenu.net banner at San Francisco counter-picket against CCHR picketing the 2009 Psychatrists' Annual Meeting here

It's always great when a young person mentions us at a picket.

xenu.net is a foundation platform. Besides having an abundance of digestible information, it has made it clear that xenu.net will not flinch.

Also, I like your taste in videos.

What’s the allure of Scientology? Difficult to fathom. Check out alt.Scientology. Or try googling Operation Clambake or Rehabilitation Project Force. Creepy.

Back.

Only Fraser Kee Scott turned out tonight, so I had a whole handler, all to myself.

Highlights include

Fraser spending £20 to buy a picture of Tom Cruise that he tried to use to block my #stupidscientology sign. His endeavours to block the sign meant he couldn't interfere with my mask.

Once I decided it was Pub O'Clock, Fraser decided to follow me around, to the point where he waited down the road from me while I had a beer. Comedy ensued when I started giving him 'follow' and 'stay' hand gestures, as you would to a dog, and he complied.

* Fraser actually used the word "Entheta" in a conversation (chatting to a fellow clam on his Blackberry). I don't think I've ever heard that word being used in front of me in a non-mocking context.

* Autograph hunters got butthurt because I was keeping TC away, one even threatened to punch me

No /b/lackup = no vids, but keep an eye on the publicity footage, you should be pleasantly surprised.

Could there be a separate media thread for "Media reports mentioning Opertation Clambake", but one that only covers mainstream-media-secondary-source coverage of Operation Clambake, and avoids listing all the protest pictures, blogs, message-board postings from other sites, etc? This would be quite helpful for future researchers.

Andreas Heldal-Lund operates the website xenu.net , which gathers critical information about the Church of Scientology.

He is one of the foremost critics of the movement in Norway, and characterize the presence of Youngstorget as questionable.

"I would strongly warn people who are affected to seeking out these people. Such cults are experts at finding people in vulnerable stages of life, and the recruitment model their is to press someone so far down that they will cry for help - and they are there and offer the help with their courses and cures", he says to Aftenposten .

The Top 25 People Crippling Scientology, No. 15: Andreas Heldal-Lund
by Tony Ortega, Village Voice 29th august 2011
http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninsca ... tology.php?
On August 5, we started a countdown that will give credit -- or blame -- to the people who have contributed most to the sad current state of Scientology. From its greatest expansion in the 1980s, the church is a shell of what it once was and is mired in countless controversies around the world. Some of that was self-inflicted, and some of it has come from outside. Join us now as we continue on our investigation of those people most responsible...

The Top 25 People Crippling Scientology

#15: Andreas Heldal-Lund (and other old time church critics)

Andreas Heldal-Lund was not the first person to provide information critical of Scientology on the Internet, and he was not the only one who fought attempts by the church to have his website taken down. But for many years, Heldal-Lund's "Operation Clambake" has been among Scientology's biggest Internet headaches around the world. A Norwegian computer engineer who became interested in a local Scientology court case in 1996, Heldal-Lund quickly came to symbolize the free-speech fight that was galvanizing Internet activism against Scientology and its heavy-handed methods. As his website grew to be an enormously comprehensive depository of information about the church, Scientology targeted it and Heldal-Lund with retaliation. In liberal Norway, however, they found it tough slogging.
