What's your opinion, Chuck, of what happens if Shelly outlives David Miscavige? Is she loyal to David,
or to the inner circle lawyers who will be grabbing the pieces of CoS?

Absolutely NOT an issue. I think she'd be loyal, not unless she somehow completely broached the wall of NO COMMUNICATION and contacted someone like Pat Broeker and Marty Rathbun and Steve Marlowe, or old CMO Messengers she was friends with through the years.

Not sure who are her friends.

You realize that this recent offloading of the 50 or so Int Base staff, there are clusters of them around the country, they are in touch, they are in good cheerful communication with oneanother.

In this internet age, Shelly could quickly get in touch with all of the ex defected biggies, if she chose, and I think she'd do that, if she did defect.

I don't think she's "money motivated" particularly, I mean she's not the type to grab the cult hoarded pile of money if that is what you are thinking.

Even for all DM's glitzy trappings as cult leader, his having to have ultra expensive suits, shoes, gear, trinkets, cars, he is still not completely over the top.

I know that Catholic Priests of Bishop level are paid as much as him, and realize he is sort of the Pope, so really by comparison, I don't honestly
think him completely over the top on his laviciousness personally.

I wouldn't think whoever replaces him will pay themselves 100 Gs, that's way too much. 40 Gs is plenty for COB RTC post, and really he just needs allowance for his cult leader uniform and maybe travel and entertainment expenses to woo the got bucks cult supporter celebs.

My opinion is she's loyal to LRH and thus the movement. She'd side with whoever is the next leader of the whole movement.

I personally got on well with her the tiny few times I had anything to do with DM. I noticed that to some degree Shelly would protect people she tried to sort of look out for and keep from pissing off DM, at least in 90-93 when I had a few tiny dealings with DM, being in his office to fix his stuck computer, was the only time I had to do a direct thing for him. My thoughts are she's likely loaded with some pent up anti DM feelings that are not going to go away, but of course she would still have loads of pro DM feelings also for obvious reasons.

God, if you think of it, this is movie material, the lives of the top people in Scientology.

Just doing a movie of the top 20 all time senior clever or exciting "blows" from the top ranks, would be a great movie in itself!

No one is going to grab the assets and run off with the beans, not those types of people who get near the big assets. The Int Finance Office people and whoever is overseas shuffling funds into all the accounts are not the embezzler types.

I think the attorneys are the only sort of class of people who might be in group cahoots in years past at bilking Scientology, for fees, and that kind of stuff. Not all of them, but some I think were taking advantage of Scientology's inclination to throw money at lawyers.

Realize the money needs to go back to ALL the people who were scammed by Scientology, who wasted money donating to SCientology, those are the people I feel who first deserve the money!

Shelly isn't the type to run off with the Scientology money, nor DM's money if she divorces him, that's not in the female cult wife pesonality that I can tell.

Isn't she Flo Barnett's daughter? If so, the so-called suicide of her Mom should have caused a red flag. But I saw Barney Barnett's name on a completion list a few years back, so I guess they are still playing the" Keep Your TRs In and Nothing Will Hurt" game.
She was on the Apollo when I was there. 1971. She was, of course, a young teen-ager then, but with the mouth of a drunken sailor. Not a person who could make it outside the group. Not a person one would want to associate with. The language of those little CMO chicks was beyond beyond. They shouted out insults to and about each other that would turn your stomach. I don't think Shelly had any friends. They were all jealous and mean little bitches. Maybe not " all" of them, I was exposed to the ones on Nightwatch who were berthed in the Dorm under the Aft Lounge . Shelly would have to have been re-educated, and that would not take place in cos.
If she is living in the Los Feliz house, it is more than likely a real treat. Who wouldn't like to get away from the Orgs and the insanity that hour by hour rules ones' life?

Shelly in July 2004 at Cruise birthday party.
Quote:
The people in the "front row" are Laurisse (Lou) Stuckebrock, Shelly Miscavige, TC, DM, Barbara Ruiz

from Fishdaddy at Tom Cruise: A Scientolocrazy birthday!
http://ocmb.xenu.net/ocmb/viewtopic.php ... 5&start=30.

The Tom Cruise birthday video itself is at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKpgPiimw0w&NR=1

Following Fishdaddy's description of the front row, Lou is in a black top and white pants. She is sitting next to Tom Cruise. Here are the times that you see her in the video:

0:30 seconds, 0:38, 0:48 - 0:52, 1:10 - 1:12, 1:30-1:32 laughing with Tom Cruise, 5:08 - 5:10

So Tom knows Shelly - I wish he'd ask Dave Miscavige about her whereabouts today.

Ancestry's Texas Birth index confirms the above names for Shelly's parents
Texas Birth Index, 1903-1997 for Shelly's Sea Org sister, names Shelly's parents
Mary Clarisse Barnett born 18 Sep 1956
Metarie Lynn Barnett born 13 May 1958
Marie Camille Barnett born 1 Oct 1962
(All three sisters, born in Dallas Co., TX, have the same parents: Maurice Elliott Barnett and Mary Florence Fike )

Shelly's father Maurice Barnett, age 49, married for the second time Kathleen DaSilva, age 25, in California on 14 Oct 1979, says Ancestry.com . The same marriage record is for Kathleen Adams, so this must have not been her first marriage. I can't tell which is her maiden name.

Maurice's siblings are Evelyn, born about 1925; Wyatt, born about 1927; and Marylin, born about 1928, according to a 1934 ship passenger list on Ancestry.com. His father, W.H. Wyatt Barnett, would be Shelly's grandfather.

Maurice's family right before he was born, in 1930 Cheyenne Wyoming census. This says Maurice's mother is Susie M.
Wyatt H Barnett 43 years old born in Georgia
Susie M Barnett 28 years old born in France
Evelyn Y Barnett 5 years old
Wyatt Barnett 3 years, 3 months old
Marilyn Barnett 1 year, 5 months old

A passport application said Shelly's grandmother was born 1 Jan 1901. Too bad, I was hoping the grandmother was young enough to still be alive.

I found one Fike family in the 1930 Missouri census (Mary Florence Fike was born in MO shortly thereafter) but both brothers are dead, so no uncles there to ask about Shelly.

Good stuff, DC.

Do you know if any of her sisters have children? It might be possible to keep Shelly and her sisters quiet, but if any of them had children, and the children marry etc, it would be harder to maintain the silence.

I can't find them on Google, except for the one in Sea Org. Just imagine...they demand to see Shelly, causing a huge flap... they get Shelly out... she divorces David Miscavige... she gets half of DM's findable assets...she has no children of her own...THEN the sisters and their children, if any, may inherit a lot. They shouldn't be crass and ask for the inheritance, but some bravery, persistence and compassion might really pay off for the sisters and any nieces and nephews.

Shelly could make millions from a tell-all book, as icing on the caek.

Shelly Miscavige has been missing since 2007.

David Miscavige and a few others know where she is.

I have heard nothing since I received that cryptic text in 2007. I thought she might be at LRH's old ranch in Newberry Springs, California. That is where Robert Vaughn Young stayed for a few months after LRH died.

If any lurking Anons can search property records, I would look for some kind of CoS ownership in Newberry Springs, CA. The place is indicated as "A" on this Google map:

I find it amazing the the wife.. THE WIFE of the current "leader" of Scientology can go AWOL for three years, and nobody outside of Slappy's close circle of cronies, knows anything about what has happened to her.

How does a welfare check work in the US? Can a non-relative initiate one?

Don't the rank and file Scientologists ever questi.... scrub that. I forgot; the CoS is a cult.

Yeah, the jury is still out on how corrupt and/or knowledgeable Tom Cruise is about the truth of Scientology, but in case he's not in on the scam, what does he think?

David Miscavige is (in Tom's mind) his best friend, he was best man at his wedding, but as far as I know, he didn't bring his own wife to the wedding. That's the kind of thing that makes people talk. All those non-Scientologists at Tom's wedding, famous, rich people, they're going to think, "where is his wife? Why didn't he bring her?" What happens when they ask Tom? He knows in Scientology circles you dare not ask, but he can't say you dare not ask to Steven Spielberg or someone like that! It would make them not want to join the church!

When TC sees his bff and I dont mean teen girl type bff, without his wife, what does TC the great family man think? Or since he has blown through so many wives that this does not seem unusual?

He should find it unusual. Every other time a couple is separated, they get divorced. Tom himself was probably coerced into it with Nicole. But Miscavige isn't with her, but isn't divorced. If Tom does find it odd, he sure as hell won't say so, with that whole "natter" and "never ever ever ever say anything bad about DM" fad.

Shelly would get half in a divorce since Calif. has community-property divorce law. So a divorce would be verrrry embarassing and expensive for Davy.

Probably Shelly gets a boring but comfortable house arrest forever. David gets a girlfriend (Lou Stuckenbrock) with no rights that he could dump anytime with no loss to finances or privacy or public relations. Lou gets power over CoS minions, rides in private jets, rubbing elbows with Tom Cruise, and a lavish lifestyle. For now.
