Today, 2nd September 2010, the cult's front group YFHRI is still on the CASTLA website. This is unacceptable.

Suggestions?

Someone in your country should do something about this. Use your imagination.
1) Produce irrefutable documentation of the link between scientology and YFHRI (i.e. they are one and the same)
2) Collect a pile of ex-scientologists affidavits, court rulings etc highlighting where people have been abused and coerced.
3) Outline your complaint, with above citations, to CAST demanding the removal of YFHRI as a "Rescue and Restore Regional Coalition Partner".
Also asking what particular services is YFHRI listed as offering to CAST and what kind of things have they done in the past in relation to providing for victims or providing for CAST.
4) Await response.

Church of Scientology International's Human Rights Office subsidizes and supports the below groups YHRI, UHR, and AHR, since they acknowledge its support on their websites.

United for Human Rights's website says "UHR's sister organization, Youth for Human Rights International (YHRI)," from http://www.humanrights.com/#/youth . But neither has a parent corporation, so UHR may be a "daughter" division or program under YFHRI. UHR's http://www.humanrights.com website has no copyrights or trademarks info. UHR isn't a Calif or guidestar corp.

In this sick PR blurb, this is the cult of scientology trying to send a message that says:"hey look, scientology can't possibly engage in human trafficking because here we are hosting a fundraising to raise awareness on human trafficking. We are a religion and religions do nice things blah bah.... Look at us, aren't we nice and benign and lovely and fluffy bunny?...not an abusive criminal slave cult at all.... Oh and here's some irrelevant statistics on human trafficking which are nothing to do with us. FBI, politicians, media, everyone, look somewhere else, not here."

Also note that CAST LA [the Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking (LA)] used to have scientology's front group Youth for Human Rights International (YFHRI) as a "coalition partner" listed on the CASTLA website but at some point in the last year or so it was removed. I wonder why. Perhaps it was because CAST were notified that scientology themselves became of interest to the FBI for human trafficking. How does scientology explain why they are no longer a coalition member of CASTLA?
