I hope this board doesn't become another smack-around like WWP (where I never go anymore since the mods there became arrogant and heady with power). If you guys start implementing infractions and crap, I'm outa here. I have really enjoyed the "hands off" approach of our longtime Admin.

That said, I welcome our new mods!

Hey guys!

A belated congrats to the new mods.

I put most of my smilies in a photobucket account years ago. I can't guarantee they are all there but hundreds are.

You'll need to get Andreas to upload them to the images folder on his server though if you want them to appear with the other smilies. Until then you can always just link to these.

Emm, it seems like it is the broken remnants of some word filter that Andreas had in place at one time after the mass trash dump of gore and porn. Basically whenever you used any of the major image hosts to post an inline image or a link, the word filter would replace parts of the link with the word "smileforever" in order to break it. It was supposed to have been reverted but it still seems to happen every now and again and I think i've narrowed it down to when you post link to a photobucket album page in a certain way either with or without specific [url] tags.
When I get a moment I'm going idenfity the exact combinations of cause/symptoms and have a word with the admins again and get it sorted out for good. I'm surpised it even found its way into the phpBB 3.0 board upgrade.

Originally I pasted the link without the [IMG] tags. When I edited it I put the tags in and it seems to work now.

Upgrading to a new version won't necessarily override word filters or various other settings in the Admin CP. It overrides templates and other PHP files but not certain settings AFAIK.

Ahhh, I wondered why that "smileforever" would come up. It drove me nuts, trying to post a link or link to a photo, trying to get around that link-breaker. That would be great if we get to where that's no longer needed.

BF - LOL, Yeah, I should have asked you ages about about "fultile" - I wasn't sure if it was some word that I just didn't know, or whether there was some joke to it. :crazy:

About a hundred times, I meant to ask you, but conversation turned, or I would forget, etc. D'oh! :lol:
