At the lower right of every post you will see the Report Post Button Image

Very useful for alerting spammers to Admin and global mods who can then dustbin the posts and ban the user at the earliest opportunity. You can also use it to request/suggest posts/thread merging/splitting/moving etc. or anything else you need help with from a mod.

Is that what you mean?

I'm going to San Diego in two weeks. Can I use the button for directions to the best Chinese restaurant in town?

According to Union-Tribune at signonsandiego.com their "San Diego's Best" 2010 winner in the Food & Restaurants category is the Far East Winds at Viejas Casino.
P.F. Changs (2010 runner up in "San Diego's Best") has an online pre-order service so presumably your Cream of Sum Yung Gai can be whipped up in jiffy and be ready for you all fresh without having to wait in line.
Alternatively you could just pop over to xenubarb's place to see what creature she's recently hauled out of the bay and got broiling on the old stove out back.

Since OCMB doesn't have an off-topic section for such requests I suggest that further such general enquiries go to google.com or WWP. Failure to heed this advice will probably result in you being asked politely not to do it again.

The reply was also intended to be lighthearted and cynically formal/anal.
Only despite all the clues, THE SUBTLETY WAS OBVIOUSLY LOST ON YOU.
It's probably why you americans came up with the idea of adding canned laughter to comedy shows, because without that, or a detailed roadmap to the punchline, you wouldn't know at which point to laugh or even whether to laugh at all.
I will conference with the global mods on the idea of having special [joke] [/joke] BBCode tags devised which automatically play a comedic sliding trombone sound as you scroll through that part of the post followed by a "badum tish" at the end.

Yours,
Poopyhead.
