Hi --

I took some photos on my cell phone of my local org and wanted to post them.

I emailed them to myself, but don't know how to put them in a post on here! Any advice??

1. you can upload them to something like photobucket, then link to them there.

2 You can use http://tinypic.com/ and use the url they give you.

http://imageshack.us/ is another free image host.

With either one you'll want to copy the Direct Image Link.

If you paste it here as is then poeple have to click on it to see the image otherwise if you want it to display as an inline image then you must use the Img tags (highlight the link and click the Img button at the top of the posting window and it will put the tags at the front and end of the link for you.)

Use the Testing Forum if you want to experiment first.

The only caveat to Tinypic is that it's easy to 'lose' the pic. If you have a bucket or shack acount, you always have the pic available on line.

Yesterday Sponge told me how to use a media hosting site for pictures.( :D Thanks again, Sponge!)
I chose TinyPic because it seemed easier to use, and it worked just fine.

Today I tried to post a picture on this message board doing exactly the same I did yesterday. Now nothing happens.
I can upload my picture to TinyPic, get the code, copy the code, and when I try to paste it :? no result.
First I thought it may have had something to do with copyright, because the picture I used wasn't mine. But with my own pictures the same thing happens. Nothing.

How can this be? Is there a maximum pictures per week limit, or is it my computer acting funny?

Does anybody have suggestions?

Thx, Sekh.

*EDIT; It was my own stupidity, I fear. I pushed "copy" instead of "paste". Problem solved, sorry to have bothered y'all.

Skeptic2girl, I don't see your California org pics. Did you post them?

I did! You saw them already, though -- (here's the thread):

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=33605

I might go back at some point to get a non-blurry pic of the "no one is here during the day" sign...

PS: Many thanks to people here who gave instructions, without which I couldn't have posted!
