For those in $cientology, especially staff members, Hubbard's lectures are never boring. In $cientology going past a misunderstood word, especially with Hubbard's writing and lectures, is an ethics offense. So while those in $cientology listen to the content of Hubbard's lectures they monitor themselves for yawn symptoms or any of the other so called barriers to study.
There is another aspect to Hubbard's lectures. In just about every single one to which I ever listened, Hubbard spoke in broad generalities. Speaking in broad generalities is, according to Hubbard, the number one attribute of a suppressive person. I made this connection while I was in but "not-ised" it. As well I made sure never to point this our or state it to anyone. I can't be the only person ever involved in $cientology who noticed this.
