I watched the whole video. This is a very sad story.

I was in EPF after Hubbard’s death. Average time in EPF is about 5 weeks, it took me 3 weeks to finish it. An old-timer told me that average EPF sentence was 1 year during the Hubbard years. After his passing they decided to shorten the number of courses because too many people were bidding farewell to the Church.

The EPF work is hard for many. I was in excellent physical condition, so I did not suffer. But my friend Edmund was tired all the time. He was healthy, but was not as physically strong as I was. There was a Big Blue isolation unit for the EPF folk who had minor illnesses, it was usually unoccupied. We did not have keys to the unit. But I have very strong hands, so I could open the door with my bare hands by rotating the metal rod that was used to lock it up. With my help Edmund was able to take a nap for an hour while the others were taking courses. Soon two more EPF members joined him because they were getting extremely tired, too.

I wrote at another thread that 80% of the CoS recruits never heard about Scientology prior to their Church work. Apparently, Sheila’s story is similar to theirs. But, unlike her, the ones that I knew were 20+, so they left CoS in a matter of months. The ones who remained in Sea Org were born into Scientology, they had no place to go.

The 18 to 25 age group was attractive to Sheila, and this was one thing about Sea Org that she liked. As Sea Org workers age*, and are mixed in with immigrants who can barely speak English, they don't have the same attraction to American-born teenagers these days.

Age 35 + is an oldster, if you ask a 19-year-old. Even if the 35-year-old feels fit and hip, he's a fossil to a teenager.

The EPF courses are overloaded with clay demos; even when I was a Scientologist I thought that their abundance was a ploy designed to keep the newbie at EPF as long as possible. At first I struggled with the demos and could not get them right. But after couple of days I got smarter and begun using demos of the people who were ahead of me at the check list. I would slightly rearrange a demo and paraphrase its notes; that was enough for the course supervisor to give me a green light. I think he knew what I was doing, but he wanted to keep his stats up by letting the students graduate his course pronto.

Good video. It's really sad how they took a young girl who was having problems with her family and made it WORSE. So glad she woke up and figured it out (years later).

After my first exam on the BSM I got a retread/retrain (forgot what it was called). After the 2nd exam I got a semi long pink sheet. The third exam was done thursday morning and my pinksheet only contained some reading with checkouts.

Similar thing happened after the second course, and after that I made sure to only do exams on wedensday evenings :lol:

The first pink sheet was the longest, it took me 2 weeks of study before I took the exam. The remaining pink sheets were much shorter. Then there was the final exam, which was easy for me. One of the EPF girls was crying that day. She was from Holland, her English was not very good. She told me that she will never pass the final. I felt sorry for her, so I wrote the final’s questions with the answers for her. They told us that doing such thing is a grave violation of Scientology ethics. That did not bother me a bit because by that time I already broke a California law by smoking a joint (marijuana) with a fellow EPF member. Even though I was a Scientologist at that time, I thought that the state and federal laws have precedence over Scientology “laws”.

RFP abuse and delays were designed to deter the next person from trying to quit Sea Org. Plus they were revenge against Sheila herself.
