OSA's ability to infiltrate, bribe and enturbulate the internet can be more easily seen when we pull back and look at a list of productive protesters who have been banned from the main protest website WhyWeProtest.net - First fights against the protester are encouraged in posts, then the posts can be thrown in the "thunderdome" to remove the info from google searches, finally the protester is banned. Meanwhile known OSA agents like "Herro" are encouraged in the name of "devil's advocacy". No advocacy there. It's just the devil.

Just check this list of productive protesters who have been banned from WWP.net or it's predecessor enturbulation.org over the years:

ANONORANGE

ANGRY GAY POPE

HAPPY SMURF

I'm no expert. Anybody else have names to add to this list? I'm sure there are plenty. This doesn't count protesters like MonaMia who were so hounded by WWP.net they gave up. She was particularly bothered by threats that she "die in a fire" because she was badly burned as a child. Protester AnonOrange doesn't even post anymore, in part for legal reasons.

Since they have been banned none of these protesters have shot the president. Well, Smurf was only recently banned but I highly doubt he would kill Obama in the near future. The point is they weren't banned for being evil, they were banned for being effective. For me this cut into my ability to get my message out and prevents me from searching WWP.net as a library of data resources.

Would I go back if invited? Fugeddaboutit! Smurf, AO and I don't agree on much but we all agree one one thing. We won't put up with childish bullshit, homophobic remarks and character assasination from angry nerds like Relyt egged on by OSA bots like Herro.

I jsut want to define ourselves as a welcoming place for women, gays, minorities, and useful /sometimes over-argumentative people. WWP is useful for people who might not fit in here.

My favorite poster, Barbiluv, was banned, too. She was very counterproductive and chatty, but a lot of people liked her. Her Internet boyfriend Zizany, whom I did not like, was also banned. His English was horrific, once I made a fun of him by saying, “tits no funny Ziz” meaning “this is not funny, Zizany”.

Tory banned herself. Although if she had stayed after the incident in SF, all her posts would be trolled utterly, so it would have been unproductive if she stayed.

I did not witness Smurf being banned, and I personally would not have done so. So I don't have all the background info. But the current mods are definitely more twitchy than in the past. I think most people on WWP would agree that the worst Smurf should have gotten was a temp ban, if anything.

Radio Paul, I don't remember too well, but as I recall, the ban happened after he repeatedly posted material after being told not to. Maybe that should have been a temp ban as well.

Anon Orange and AGP can be shown to be very active in opposing scientology, but are also were not really acting online in the spirit of anonymous, but promoted themselves in a way that was not welcome on WWP. Like Tory, their threads would also devolve into trolling, so would be of little use. It is for the best of all concerned that they are not on WWP.

Smurf is the only one on this list that could make a go of it on WWP if the mods did not become all weird and seek to change WWP so much away from its roots.

My $.02.

/ps, if you think OSA had anything to do with these bans, lol
It all can be explained in simple human interactions and does not require a outside boogy man.

I've received multiple emails & pms on here & my Facebook from supportive anons who said that WWP has become a diminished shell from what it used to be, and could be, due to the whims of the admin, Sue, who has banned anons & mods for no reason other than he did not like them.

Barbiluv & Zizany posted harmless gibberish on the Drama thread, often in comm with Miranda, so perhaps, it was guilt by association. I wish people would stop talking about my being banned, because I have no desire to ever post on WWP again, regardless what the climate there is.

It is what it is. My being banned hasn't stopped from me continuing to be productive for the "cause" and it certainly hasn't hurt Tory & others.

I believe "bb" (Terril Park) was banned, then reinstated. I've noticed some awfully fishy posts over there, but the thing to do is talk over them, and notify known and trusted mods. And keep adding banned names here, and WHO BANNED THEM.

Activists that are the most pushy, persistent, dramatic and argumentative can get CoS running around in circles pulling their hair out. The same personality traits can push the buttons of other posters on message boards, and attract catfights. Old grudges from old potshots and insults get dredged up. I prefer to keep the conversation focussed on the recent one or two weeks, and just try to keep everybody honest and reasonably courteous. I like Useful Smurf, and Useful AGP, and even Useful WWP.

Wait, you guys really think Herro's an OSA agent?

Jesus, I thought you were joking.

Herro is not an OSA agent because he is too stupid for that. Calling him OSA is like complementing his IQ, which is extremely low.

Herro is a harmless troll who has a superiority complex.

I wouldn't go that far. Herro posted with Miranda's blessing & support. The mods know he/she is and are not threatened by the trolls. Herro likes to get under people's skin and provoke an emotional response from them.

His actions have done nothing to help, support or encourage the cause, but that was never Herro's intentions.

WWP will be fine, as will the protesters named above.
I just read Kate's story for the first time, due to her bump (7 years later) and I am reminded of the many tales I've read (and half-forgotten) on this website of the Church's genuinely malicious, criminal, and unconscionably evil acts over the past 20+ years. Here's a question I don't know the answer to: How is it possible that this continues to happen under everyone's noses including ours?
Keep clearing the planet, protesters...of scientology.

Sponge adds a lot of news links to wwp, and he shouldn't have to take sides in a Which Board is Better contest. So, out of appreciation to him, I'd like to say let it go. This site isn't perfect either.
OCMB has, in its Org Patrol section, a posting area devoted to California, so picket proposals there might attract people. You could add them as Friends on this message board, which makes it easier to send a private message to, say, five people without OSA reading it.

Remember I said "productive protesters." I don't think OSA would be concerned with Barbiluv. Think like OSA. The interest to me in this story is not about flame wars but about how Scientology co-opts its enemies on the internet, starting with alt/religion/scientology.
