What I find odd here in that Debbie Cook is getting the full on cult legal hammer, yet Marty and Mike still have not had their day in court. Be it by the sci lawyers or the feds.Whats up with that?
When you "route out" like Debbie did and sign a huge stack of docs including the NDA, the whole idea is that the cult will come after you if you speak. That's the whole point. Up until now it was strictly intimidation. But now, because of Debbie, the cult is forced to test these docs in the legal arena. They kind of had no choice. If they didn't, everyone and anyone who signed an NDA (over decades) with the cult would have learned that they could speak out without legal repercussion. The fact that Debbie and Wayne got paid for their silence probably helped make (certain foolish) lawyers think that they had a good case against Debbie.
M&M blew from the Sea Org- they escaped/walked out. So they signed no such stack of legal documents, or NDA, and received no hush money. That's the main difference between them. The cult has no legal case against M&M. That's why their only strategy is the "squirrel busters" lol. So your choices are- be fair gamed in the courts, or in your front yard.
The cult has a lot hinging on Debbie's case. If they don't win- there are lots of other important Ex-scientologists and various people who have been involved with the cult for decades who have key information, who have also signed NDR's. If the cult loses, all of these people have the potential of speaking out. I believe there is an army of whistle-blowers watching Debbie's saga, and waiting, and thinking. I dk if people realize how huge Debbie's case is and how important it is. People can criticize Debbie for still being a believer, but she holds within her own karma the ability strike the biggest blow ever and begin an avalanche that buries CoS. The beautiful irony in this is that her only true crime was communicating.
She must believe that this is the only way to "save scientology": to destroy it in its present form, and start over. [Edit: to help Dave Miscavage finish the job of destroying scientology in its present form]
