As much as I love ex-Scio Aida Thomas, who still practices the tech, I question why she uploads an interview with an old timer that was audited by Quentin Hubbard. His recollection of events do not match the facts. He claims Quentin "dropped the body" to foil his kidnappers, when facts showed he was found in a car, naked & comatose, and he died 2 weeks later in a hospital, reportedly from a staph infection.

I dont recall the story that the clams were fed about quentin, but him evading kidnappers seems to fit with eLwRONgs other conspirational(put that in the hubbs dictinary) theories.

It's speculative, but Quentin's autopsy report stated he had needle marks on his upper arms, white spots on his upper arm & chest, and was positive for staph.. signs of drug use..and infection or abscess at injection site..

It hit the news at the time (I was on staff then), so the CoS had to make an announcement. At my mission, we were not told anything definitive, but it was hinted at that he had been murdered by bad people while on a mission for CoS. Of course that was total BS, but hey, what could they really say? The truth? No way!

According to Mike Pattison, who was Quentin's friend, Quentin became highly critical of Scientology shortly before his death. Pattison's notes could be easily found on the Internet.

Maybe they did tell the truth, he was murdered by bad people ($cientologists). It could also have been a suicide, but either way the CO$ had to fabricate something else to explain what happened to Quentin.

He was just a young, soft boy, not the ruthless, hard-nosed type. He had wanted to get out of Scientology for some time, but you don't just leave something like Scientology. You quit and then instantly become an enemy. He knew his father violently attacked anyone who betrayed him and he knew that the Guardian's Office would be after him as a traitor. He had grown up in Scientology and would have been tremendously afraid of the world out there, full of wogs and evil people. I guess he just couldn't handle it.'

"He was just a miserable, miserable boy,' said Kima Douglas. 'He was a little kid out of his depth who knew he could never compete with his father."

I'm curious how Ed Walters, of Las Vegas, knew of Quentin's long time "homosexual problems", and Quentin's body happened to be found in Las Vegas. A source has informed me that Mr. Walters is gay, himself, and Quentin may have gone to LV to meet with Mr. Walters.

Ed is retired from the Sands, but has posted stories on this blog, particularly his friendship with Frank Sinatra.

The final "handling of the situation" was Mary Sue (supposedly) ordering 3 autopsies and finding out that her son died of a rare disease. Murder or suicide would just be too damaging. If they claimed it was murder, then there would be a cry for justice. Even if the authorities were not able to find the culprits, then LRH with his investigative and OT powers, should be able to track them down and avenge his son's murder. It would be easier (and raise fewer questions/suspicions) to claim a rare illness caused Quentin's death, which they did.

I remember reading that the great thetan was angry at Q for the negative attention that this might bring and not one ounce of sorrow. What a guy!

I read somewhere that when LRH received the news, he was calm about it, and then went to inform Mary Sue who totally "lost it" at the news.

There are conflicting accounts as to how LRH responded to the news of Quentin's death.

There was no medical evidence documenting a "rare disease"; that was simply a conclusion his parents arrived at. What was shown in the Coroner's autopsy is that he had a staph infection & a possible cerebral abscess... a collection of immune cells, pus, and other material in the brain, usually from a bacterial or fungal infection (staph).

True. That's how they "handle" a scandal, they just make shit up.
Also, there is no evidence (that I am aware of) that 3 autopsies were done. It was just a part of a "cover story" the CO$ had to fabricate for damage control. The "rare disease" was encephalitis, but of course there is no medical evidence of it. Supposedly documents were stolen from the coroner's office and that doesn't sound too far-fetched given what happened soon after, Operation Snow White.
