I'm average in height (5'11") but I wouldn't mind being a little taller and looking down at the "average Joe". But I wouldn't be willing to go through surgery to get taller. I don't know what it is about height, but if there were some magic pill that could make a grown person grow taller, the average height would increase by a foot at least.

Hubbard wrote somewhere that Dianetics can increase a dwarf's size to a mormal level. Apparently, dwarfs have engrams that make them short. As always, LRH is right. But that also means that DM is not a Clear.

Bone-stretching rechniques are used in many countries, not just Russia, to help people who have undergone cripplng accidents. But these techniques are not used for "cosmetic" reasons.

No, you don't. The surgery has caused alot of problems for people that has had the surgery.. bone doesn't heal correctly, nerve damages, chronic pain, etc.

I think the original intent of the surgery was to adjust leg length in the case of a broken leg bone where one leg ended up being slightly shorter than the other. The desired result was not to increase someone's height but to make both legs the same length. It was never intended for cosmetic purposes.
