The event was tiny but I'm concerned that Danny Masterson is trying to pull Riley into his circle of Scientology friends, and get her rumored fiancé* Alex Pettyfer into some secret-spilling auditing. Lisa Marie disapproves of Alex P., saying he's a playboy charmer,** so Alex may have secrets that CoS can use to lock him into real or pretend loyalty once he joins.

Imagine if Danny Masterson gets Mercedes Helnwein to be buddies with Riley, and then the Helnweins invite Riley to their castle, and show pictures of Danny Masterson's wedding there. Riley might be tempted to escape the media crush of an LA wedding. But beware, Riley! Gottfried Helnwein made that money painting grisly art, including child-mutilations, in which his own children posed as the mutilated children. Freedom of speech for Gottfried, sure, but you don't have to admire him.
There are plenty of nice wedding venues elsewhere, without the Scientology baggage. And, Riley, you will be labeled Scientologist if you have a wedding surrounded by Danny Masterson's crowd. You would have to official say "I am not a Scientologist" to stop the rumors. So, it's better to say.."as an adult I'm exploring all kinds of spirituality" and say no to Scientology weddings, fund-raisers, and, especially, courses and extortionary IAS events.

I wouldn't put much faith in a tabloid magazine for the facts. Several magazines have "quoted" Lisa Marie has approving of the wedding & not approving of it.

If the wedding takes place, Alex may very well become a Scientologist, in name only, so not to make waves with the cult. There are rumors that both Lisa Marie & Priscilla have quit Scientology, quietly.

I'm hoping Danny Masterson's bunch of 30 to 40 year-old 2nd-generation Scientologists may be too old for 22 year old Riley.

Age means little in Hollywood circles. Besides, Riley is grabbing movie roles & excelling at something that Danny hasn't. She doesn't need to be in his circle of friends.

Riley has been exposed to the core group of Danny Masterson's "Confederacy of Dunces" since birth. Since before, birth, really. There's a guy that hangs out with Danny's crew that refers to himself as "the pirate" but I think his name is Kevin. He has been friends with Danny and that whole group for years and years, but has been friends with Riley's dad even longer since they both went to Delphi in Oregon (which is where Danny and Lisa Marie apparently started dating or whatever). That pirate guy's ex-wife was Lisa Marie's assistant for years (and might still be for all I know).

Danny M only wishes he had anything to do with the formation of that "group" though. From what I could see it was fostered by Danny's mom (Carol) and Rose Goss and to a lesser degree Gay Ribisi. I remember hearing that Danny Masterson, Bryten Goss, and Ethan Suplee were really close from early childhood. Luke Watson (his mom is or was in charge of the Los Angeles Celebrity Centre but I don't remember her name) is another member of the group. Once Danny became one of the richest of that group he seemed to have adopted the role of Opinion Leader. Oh, I think the pirate guy's last name is Dorian. Kevin Dorian. I don't know how he fit into the group as he didn't really seem to do anything. I'm not sure who his parents are (or were).

I was really disappointed when they roped Laura Prepon into $cientology. She was a really friendly and charming girl.
