Hey Smurf, what are your thoughts? ? ?

comunication May 2012

Bruce Thompson

Hey Guys,

As some of you know I am being promoted into the Sea Organization. This presents a very unique opportunity for someone to take on my post as the Director of Special Affairs (DSA) of the Philadelphia Org. There have been only 2 DSAs in the last 18 years in the Philly org, myself and Mr. Tim Lomas who is now the Commanding Officer for the Office of Special Affairs in the Eastern United States. As the DSA in Philly, Mr. Lomas is my direct senior and he is very fun to work with.

This post truly has been the best "job" I have ever held and working for LRH and in an org is really an amazing experience. It's not always easy, but you have the full back up of Mr. Lomas and the entire Sea Org as well as every other DSA in the East US, whom you can call at any time.

We are currently interviewing possible candidates for this post in Philadelphia and I invite anyone that has ever thought about working in an org to get in comm with me to see if you might qualify. The qualifications for the Office of Special Affairs are high and not everyone does qualify.

Even if you do not currently live in Philadelphia but would consider moving to take advantage of this rare opportunity please get in comm with me. I can help you find a place to live and get setup in Philadelphia.

Perhaps you know someone that might be interested as well, please forward this comm to them and let me know any suggestions.

Please get back to me if you would like to find out if you might qualify for this post or if you just would like more information about what it is that a DSA does. I promise you it is an experience that you will never forget and cherish for eternity. This is an amazing time to have this post with the upcoming opening of our Ideal Org and as the DSA you will be very hands on in this process. Please respond with inquiries via FB message or email me at bthompual@aol.com.

ARC,

Bruce Thompson
DSA Philly since 2002

Nice leak, Doxtor.

Maybe I am reading too much into it, but it's interesting he likes working for LRH, considering LRH is dead and he really works for DM, whom he doesn't mention.

I'm not surprised, though I question the "volunteered" part. He divorced his wife, Gayle, Senior C/S in Philly, who moved to Clearwater. He sold his home in February.

His ex-wife, it seems, has been declared..

The director of special affairs (DSA) in an org is in the office of special affairs (OSA) for that org.

I wasn't in the small org long enough to figure out how the DSA/OSA fit in but in that small org with less than ten staff they did have a DSA. The earlier version of OSA, the guardian's office (GO) had been a separate entity from the sea org and although on the org board was a separate entity from the org and pretty much autonomous. Almost everything it did when it was the guardian's office was secret from anyone else in scientology. With the name change from GO to OSA that part of $cientology's organization was subsumed into the sea org. I don't know if all its staff members are sea org staff members or not but as I understand it OSA is administered through the sea org. The GO was not part of the sea org and was directly administered by L. Ron Hubbard but with sufficient apparent autonomy to make it difficult to implicate Hubbard in activities such as Operation Snow White.

This is Bruce at 0:25 in the video.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P3ae0DDzQi0.

I've known Bruce for years. I knew him when I was in OSA. He was DSA in Philly for years, but was also OSA's pitbull in the Washington, DC Org when their production numbers suffered. He could be the nicest guy in the room, and the nastiest asshole when stats suffered.

I don't get it.

So, his wife is out, and complaining about DM. But he divorced his wife.

It sounds like he is subtley complaining about DM, too. But he's still in.

I guess he's still drinking the Koolaid, and divorced because his wife wasn't?

Bruce & Gayle divorced 2 years ago. He remained in Philly. She moved to Clearwater to be close to her son, Aaron, and her grandson.

She responded to Debbie Cook's email, and according to her, was no longer a member in good standing. I have no clue whether she's out or on an amends project for her "treachery". This is Gayle's son. https://www.facebook.com/aaronsmithlevin
