PO: In 2008, they actually tried to have a serious protest against the Church of Scientology, and that's when they started getting more serious, not just doing things for fun, to prank people to, you know, make themselves laugh at other people's expense, but to give it more of an activist direction...

JS: Well, the Church of Scientology, they've got a great sense of humor about themselves...(AUDIENCE LAUGHTER) I can't see why that would in any way cause an issue.

PO: They were kind of the perfect, what they call troll bait, because they were so reactive to what people were...

JS: What's troll bait?

PO: Troll bait.. trolling is when you pull a prank on someone to try and get an emotional reaction and that's what Anonymous was doing with Scientology, they were just poking at them, and raiding their websites, and the more Scientology fought back, the more Anonymous kept going, and that's why that was, like, their biggest raid, you know, up until that point.
