If this is over Scientology and it looks like it is, it can only widen the cracks. If Tom tries to get custody and Katie fights back, she will have to say why she has such an issue with Tom having their child. She will have to explain the abusive practices in court that she fears will hurt her child if left to the devices of Scientology. I am not sure the cult wants this stuff on the record. If the cult tries to fuck with Katie the Paparazzi is going to catch it and it will end up all over the web and tabloids. The cult is likely to put pressure Tom Cruise to let it go. Will he let it go or get pissed that the cult is telling him to give up his daughter? He might see Katie as an SP but most likely sees his daughter being whisked away by a SP who will brainwash her. He and DM probably fear what she will say when she grows up over what she has been through as well. What a quagmire!

If Suri remains under the control of $cientology she will take a TRs course that will start her brainwashing in earnest. She will be a very interesting statistic resource and control piece within the organization. In about ten years or so recruiters in the sea org will start to hound her into signing her billion year contract and becoming a sea org staff member. They may already have the plans and directions in place for that from management (David).

I was logging in to type this very thing. The scientology issue is like a powder keg in this situation. As soon as it comes up (if it does) all hell will break loose.

The media has been very lightly touching on the $cientology aspect of this story. If the people on the sidelines who are in $cientology have any smarts at all they will stay out of the divorce proceedings and they will stay out of making any public statements on the matter. In my opinion they won't do that. They won't stay out of it. Hubbard has told them that the worst thing to do is nothing and he has told them to always attack and never defend.

The people involved with $cientology's office of special affairs (OSA) will want to keep Katie under their control and to make sure she does not say anything detrimental to $cientology. In my opinion they will be very much involved in the proceedings. I think it's going to get nasty and ugly, the press is going to love it and $cientology is going to suffer very much for all of it.

The best thing that can happen for everyone involved is for Tom to give Katie everything she wants. That will keep proceedings brief, make him look like a mensch and the press will go looking for something else. I would be very surprised if that's what goes down.

I know this is highly naive thinking, but what if Tom Cruise would finally decide to leave Scientology *for Katie and Suri*?

Wouldn't that be the logical consequence of loving someone as intensely as he claims to?
Or is it true that it was all just an arranged pretend marriage?
What could possibly be more important?

There were rumors that Nicole thought or felt her phone was being tapped by an Investigator Anthony Pellicano, for Cruise, who was later charged by the FBI for illegal wiretapping, but nothing to do with Nicole. I believe but cant remember for a certainty that Pellicano claims he did spy on Kidman. Im sure there are posts about that somewhere on OCMB, but I'm too lazy to look
