The destruction of families due to scientology has affected so many. I'm truly sorry that your family has to go through this. I wish I could find the words to ease the pain for your dad. He is lucky that you and Dr Shannon can now be with him.

Dr. Donna Shannon wow that was great. I want to thank him for telling his story and taking so much time to do so. I am sorry you 2 had this happen. He is helping so so many people right now by doing this. Thanks again for speaking the true harms of scientology. I feel for his father because that is really sad. Mike Henderson did you ever get your interview on video tape some where ? Your interview was very detailed and i am sure it would look great on video. If it is not yet then please get it on video so it can be on xenutv. OSA would really love you for that one lololol.

Mike Henderson keep speaking the true harms of scientology because you do it so well and I am sure your interview will get many to speak out too. Excellent!! As you may know, I know quite a few of your family, and like them very much. I'm SO Proud of you!! Coming out, when you have SO many family "in" is huge. I really appreciate you speaking out. I can't say I agree with you, re the "OT" levels, and they working unless someone is set up. The "Set ups" are just more mind control, Shocked

but hey, that's my opinion Wink

- But I screwed up an deleted it together with the usual 37 spammails with viruses. I realized when I wanted to answer. I bellowed a loud and ceremonial 'F*#§¤ck!' since that was all I could do.

It kind of annoys me that the OT8 looks to be false. But I'm not all that surprized.. Lots of escaped GO and OSA adepts are in the field, reversing favors I guess.

Mike,

I hope you stay. I've posted for years the things I think work in Scientology, and I've been willing to listen to the critics questions, and answer them. I admit, they've helped me greatly. There was TONS I didn't know.

My now X-Husband's parents were with Hubbard from 1950, so I heard many great stories about him. However, I have to also LOOK at all the facts that I didn't know, nor did they. Yes, he was a very charismatic guy.
For me, personally, it pisses me off greatly that I fought C of S for years (and don't say it was just them, not Hubbard--as he wrote NOTS, certainly OT 3--all implying one can handle physical problems with auditing, which I fought for years, and nearly died because of)--only to find out when I left that Hubbard was ON medicines (and even drugs!) all during this time.
That's just one irritation of mine.

You've just come from the land of Hubbard being the king, the best, all good, can do no wrong. I suggest you spend some time reading and learning the other side, and continue to talk here, too.

Thank you for posting your story, Mike. I, too, had great wins from the tech, which was what made me stay way too long (like many of us here). Some times I wonder if what happened to us was similar to taking drugs, the practice was making us euphoric rather than the drugs and we were told and rationalized that it was gains towards higher spiritual awareness. Yet, in the long run the tech does not deliver what is promises. The most obvious evidence of this is that there is no push whatsoever to have staff go up the Bridge. If you became so much more capable and competent by going up the Bridge, wouldn't that (getting the staff up) be the most vital, first priority thing for management to do. My question is, if you look honestly within yourself and compare you to other people who have lived a spiritual life with honor and integrity, are you better off for having done the full Bridge. An OT VIII once told me that he was sure that when he left his current body he would be in charge of where he was going. Can you relate to that?
