Oh the irony! I'd be willing to bet Stacy Moxon would disagree with this statement.

Dana Reid, in that electrical room, does evoke memories of the electrocuted Stacy Moxon Meyer. If only Stacy had a voltmeter and some light to see which wires were live.

Roberta Lance, with her chemicals, reminds me of this:
They forced a mixture of aspirin, Benadryl and orange juice down (Lisa McPherson's) throat with a turkey baster.
from http://www.holysmoke.org/cos/lmt-faq.htm

Wally Burgess, in his Fourth Mate uniform, reminds me that he should get checked for blue asbestos contamination in his lungs.

Maryse Bruer, doing "design" to "expose psychiatry's crimes," poses in front of a PC suitable only for a boat anchor. It looks like it's from earlier than 1998. That's when CoS installed the "net nanny" to keep CoS workers and members off critic sites. Marsye, visit a non-CoS design firm and see the cool computers and gizmos in the 21st century.

Maryse's post says that Sea Org members are trained for every kind of emergency situation. How about the situation where the FBI comes in with a search warrant for unlawfully imprisoned RPF workers?

Next to this "emergency situation" statement are some symbols.
The first is the Red Cross, implying that there is some kind of partnership with this long-established charity. There is none - CoS volunteers horned their way into 9-11 and other disaster sites and managed to not get kicked out. Even if one or two Red Cross workers accepted their presence, that is not exactly a partnership. CoS volunteers for the Sumatra tsunami snatched up donated tents for themselves, when they could have gone to the desperate homeless. If CoS is sending its workers to Red Cross training, that also is not a partnership. The Red Cross is actively looking for "partners," but they envision companies or groups that DONATE MONEY to the Red Cross. I don't see CoS doing that. Someone ought to tell the Red Cross that Scientology is implying a relationship where there is none.
You can contact our Concern Connection Line which is a 24-hour, confidential and anonymous, toll-free line that provides American Red Cross staff, volunteer and members of the public a way to report concerns or questions regarding potentially illegal, unsafe or unethical conduct. That number is 888-309-9679... You may also e-mail your concerns to fraudalert@usa.redcross.org.
from http://www.redcross.org/contactus/
The second symbol is the triple triangles for radiation alert. What the F@#$? What are Sea Org workers going to do if there is radiation contamination? Herd people into saunas and give them niacin? Where are the Sea Org radiation safety clothing and equipment?

The third symbol is a group of buildings. What does that represent? Urban crime? Earthquakes? Unclear.

The last symbol is the classic handicapped symbol - but Scientology only ministers to the "able" so I don't see them volunteering at the local hospital to move the frail and crippled during, say, a hurricane warning. In fact, Sea Org workers might cause more confusion by moving handicapped people to the wrong place, or not knowing the peoples' special needs.

Frank Fein looks like a tough guy with his camera. I wish he'd prove his toughness by outfoxing the RPF guards and photographing the souls languishing in RPF.

Finally, is the Sea Horse on each page a new symbol? It reminds me that the male sea-horse is the partner that carries the sea horse embryos. It doesn't make me want to sign up for Sea Org exploitation.

Prufrock,

I'd love that! You've been such fun.

Alas, I am not in Sea Org, and suspect that they don't give a monkey's about some non-ex guy posting anon on a message board.

Of course you're not. Just yanking your chain, SM. BTW, do you plug your name into the search engine each time you log onto OCMB or is it just my imagination?

And for the record, I don't have such an inflated sense of self that I think I register on the cult's radar. Just as well, as I don't want any of my pets drowned. However, it was the Co$, not I, that made the statement about each SO member being "responsible" for 1.2 million Earthlings. What, exactly, do you think that means?

Considering that the population of earth is 6,640,308,647 according to the International Programs Center http://www.census.gov/ipc/www/popclockworld.html
and there is 1 Sea Org member for each 1.2 million earthlings, that gives us a total of 5,533 Sea Org members on the entire planet earth according to "Sea Org Propaganda" as written in their recruitment promo above.

That still sounds a bit high, but is probably closer to the truth than most of the made up stats we hear from the cult.

You will find the sea horse logo, a very large one, on the billion year Sea Org contract.

These images of SO personnel are contained in an older booklet loaned to me by a former high ranking OSA asset. The booklet was used in part for recruiting and tried to convince Scientologists that the Sea Org was the "cat's ass" when it came to Scientology CultWerks.

The "cat's ass" is old American slang. It is used in place of "deluxe" when sarcasm is needed. For example: "Yeah, Hubbard, he was the cat's ass of charlatans," or, "Yeah, that new Mark X is the cat's ass of E-Meters -- and at $7,000 it's a real bargain too!"

I have no idea where the phrase originated, but it works well.

Dana Reid was only 14 when she joined the Sea Org and started working at Gold? That means she missed out on an education and has probably only had a few days off in all the years she has worked at Gold. I doubt she had a worker's permit, and even if she did, I don't think work permits allow 14 year olds to work the 80+ hours a week that is the Sea Org's normal schedule. Also, when she was sent to Gold, she would have been told that she could never have children. What terrible decisions Scientologists have 14 year old children make!

That's truly sad.

It's not all bad -- she blew about 5 years ago, so is hopefully doing something sensible now.
