"In October, the Parisian Judge, Jean-Chrisophe Hullin rendered a verdict of aquittal in the judicial inquest regarding members of the Church of Scientology, accused, among other things, of fraud, it was learned Wednesday from a court source.
Opened in 1989, this judicial inquest concerned the events of 'fraud, extortion of funds and the illeagal practice of medicine' as laid out on the site bakchich.info which revealed this information.
In his closing speech made on the 4th os September, 2006, the Paris Prosecuter had requested aquittals for those being investigated judging that, 'the elements brought together by the information seem insufficient to characterize as crimes.'
Twenty people, among whom are the former President of the Church of Scientology, Jean-Paul Chapellet, and numerous executives of the organization had been under investigation in this case and two others as witnesses in attendance.
Three plaintiffs and the UNADEFI Association (National Association for the Devense of Families and the Individual) constituted the civil party.
Four judges in succession concucted the investigation concerning this case which was marked by battles and procedural issues.
Judge Marie-Paule Moracchini was notably accused for having lost certain pieces of the case file.
Appearing before the Superior Council of Magistrates for 'lack of rigor' and attack on the credibility of her function', she was finally exonerated in December 2001, the disciplinary arm of the Court finding that she had not committed an offense."

Hi all-------I'm zooming around these days, but Anonymous had asked me to pass on they have people in France willing to help him, so I Pm'd him last night.
Heard from him today---he sounds great. Just so you all know, he speaks
excellent English, as well as French.
I wish him well  I didn't get to ask about Roger Gonett, but I suggest someone PM him about that, as that, too, is a good idea.

I was slated to translate the details for Zorro (i's my day job AND I work in Paris)... but I flunked (was busy and then forgot to follow it up - sorry all).
I hope to meet him this week, as we are in contact, so I'll try to get something up on the board this weekend.
