Leak from new BLOWNFORGOOD book!

Post by blownforgood » Fri Oct 10, 2008 4:33 am

Who better to leak a small portion of the new BFG book than BFG right?
This has not been edited and probably has spelling and punctuation errors, so you are going to have to read through that crap.

Unlike some stories, I am not toning down language or changing names. This is what went down - unfiltered. Just imagine another few hundred pages of this covering 15 years and you have the full book. This is really just the Intro to the book. One hour. After this it picks up where it all began and wraps up a few years after this incident.

Questions will be answered, accusations will be confirmed, and all hell will break lose.

Here it is. Hope you enjoy.

Excerpt from - BLOWN FOR GOOD – THE BOOK

They were driving right alongside me in the black Nissan Pathfinder. The roads were slick from the rain and I was in no position to be able to do any sort of maneuvering with all my bags on the motorbike. I had just rounded the turn past the golf course heading into town. For a split second I contemplated going off road down the riverbed but with the rain, there was good chance that there might be some water in there, and it was just too risky with the security guards right on my ass.

After we get over the bridge, Danny yells out that I need to pull over to the side of the road or he is going to make me pull over.

My helmet visor is now starting to fog up I am trying to keep my attention on the road. “I just need to get into town and I will be fine.” I keep telling myself.

The truck is now right next to me and they are yelling out the window to try and get me to pull over. I am not even looking over at them. I am just going to drive and pretend that they are not there. That is when I realize that the truck is drifting further and further towards the shoulder. They are going to run me off the road? I could not believe this was happening! There is nowhere for me to go. They are keeping up with me with no problem. I had not factored in the rain. If it has just not rained! I could just take off and lose them. Damn rain. It rains about 10 times in Southern California all year and the day I decide to blow, is one of those days!

The truck continues to move over; I am now out of space on the road. The shoulder was un-drivable, even for my dual sport Yamaha TW 200. My attempt to blow was going to end right here with a bang. I had been gone for a whole 1 minute and this was it. What a lousy attempt I had made to leave.

As I ran out of road, it was only a matter of seconds before I hit the ground and the bike went skidding. I had two bags of clothes and they were sliding alongside the road in newly wet dirt that was becoming more and more mud as each drop hit the ground. One of the bags was actually a small suitcase. Secured to the bike with a single bungee cord, it was not going to stay on with a full blown full crash. The other was a large duffle bag that was simply sitting on my lap, held there only by gravity, which I no longer had on my side.

Somehow I managed to sort of step off the bike in anticipation of the crash. I had crashed my bike a few times before over the years and never really gotten that badly hurt. As I always wore a helmet, I knew that I could only expect to break a few limbs if the worst were to happen. I think it was the adrenaline that really saved me. When you are locked up for 15 years and there is no way out, when you finally decide you are going to break out, the rush you get is insane. Factor in the fact that these guys are now running me off the road in the security truck, so yeah, my fight or flight response was working double duty.

As quickly as I hit the dirt on the side of the road I was back up yelling at Danny. I did not even think about being hurt or that I had rolled on the ground a bit. I just popped up and starting freaking out.

“What the fuck are you trying to do? Kill me?”

In his completely fucking no emotion attitude, Danny says “You need to come back Marc.”

I surveyed the scene and saw were my bags had landed. I walked over to where the suitcase was and picked it up. No major damage. As I turned around, I caught Danny move towards my bike. He took the key out of the ignition!

Fuck me! This is going from bad to worse in milliseconds.

“Give me the key back Danny!”

Give me my fucking key back right now Danny or I am going to go fucking ballistic!”

Danny started to get back in the Pathfinder. I knew he would never give it back. Unless…

As I made my way into the middle of the highway and started waving my hands at passing cars for help, Danny threw that key back to me faster than you could say, “This fucker is going to get us in some shit!”

I caught the key.

Both Danny and Matt stood there as if I had just pushed the button that put them into “standby” mode. I was amazed at how waving ones arms at passing cars triggered their total inaction instantly. We were outside of their little playground and their rules were shit out here. They were helpless. I was back in play.

Back to the plan. What was the plan? Well I was going to get into town. That was the first part of the plan. Actually, that was pretty much the whole plan. The rest of the plan would kind of depend on how the first part of the plan went. Not going so well right now.

As I stood the bike back up, I noticed that the clutch lever had snapped off in the crash. That was great news. Even better news, the carburetor was pissing gas and surely flooded or at least not fully operational. Just what I need now, a broken bike to slow down my greatly planned out escape. Oh yeah, still raining too. Did I mention I one of the rear view mirrors snapped off as well?

I got the bags back on the bike. Danny and Matt got back in the truck as if to continue our little game of follow the leader.

I had an electric starter. I prayed that it would fire up. It did. Now, to just get it into 1st gear. Without a clutch cable, I had to get the bike rolling and bump it into 1st gear so as to not stall it out. My first attempt was a joke. I was so anxious to get the fuck out of there; I jumped the gun and shifted to soon. My second attempt worked and I quickly moved to second gear. A lot of good that did me. Whatever happened in the crash had completely screwed up the bike’s carburetor. I was at full throttle and going 5-10 miles per hour. The Pathfinder just crept behind me. I was starting to think how I could possible ditch these guys at 5 Miles per hour.

I was also thinking, “Did these guys just almost kill me?” What the fuck was that all about? I just got run off the road by a truck and here they are back behind me again. At least we were getting closer to town and there were more cars around. Hopefully that would thwart any more crazy attempts by them to get me back.

Just as we are driving along at 5 MPH in the rain down State Street, the Pathfinder pulls a U-turn and speeds off in the opposite direction faster than you can say “Danger - Will Robinson!” Odd. Why would they take off like that? Don’t know - don’t care.

Good. I was completely baffled, but whatever. They are leaving and I am leaving. Now I can get into town, get my bike working and get the fuck out of here.

Before I can get accustomed to the fact that I no longer have the Pathfinder on my ass, I see a police car jamming up the road in the direction of the Gold Base. No faster than I see him, he has already passed me and as I watched in my rearview mirror I see him pull a U-turn and up go the lights and siren. This isn’t my fucking day! I have am now getting pulled over! Fuck me man!

Leaving is a fucking drag and a half. First I get run off the road, next pulled over. If this guy gives me a ticket for the broken mirror, I am going to fucking lose it!

As I am only going a whopping 5 miles per hour, it is no big deal for me to pull over. If was going any slower, I would be walking.

I take off my helmet. Wow, it is still raining. Not as much as it was a few minutes ago. I see the cop sitting in the car getting his stuff together. He has got to get his notepad, run my plates, you know all the normal stuff while you sit there and start wondering how bad this is going to be.

He gets out of the car and comes towards me. I turn off the bike and put the kickstand down.

I hang the helmet on the one unbroken mirror still on the bike.

“Good Morning, Officer.” I say like everybody says when they get pulled over by a cop and its morning time.

“Good Morning. Can I see your license?” he says in stereotypical cop lingo.

I dig it out of my wallet and hand it over. I got a driver’s license in 1991. Every few years, I get a letter from the DMV in the mail and I renew it. The picture is 14 years old and barely resembles me, but none the less, it is me.

He takes the license and goes back to his police car. I don’t have anything on my record. No moving violations or accidents, nothing. I think I might have had a speeding ticket years ago that was long gone. No arrests. No felonies. I was at Gold for 15 years. If you even get pulled over for speeding, you can’t drive anymore, so my ass was pretty clean on the driving record.

He is back in less than a minute.

“So where are you headed?” he asks.

“Just into town,” I reply, wondering where the hell this is going.

“Are you okay?” he asks.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” All the while thinking that I am the furthest thing from it right now.

“You’ve got a bit of mud on your pants.” He says like someone that would consider that other than “fine.”

“Yeah, damn rain. I must have brushed up against something muddy this morning.” Brilliant, I am the most retarded person in the world with this dialog. “Is he buying this bullshit?” I think to myself.

“Well, we got a 911 call that there was an altercation back on the road a bit back with two vehicles and one of them fitting your vehicle’s description,” he lays on me.

Holy fuck in a hand basket! Someone saw them run me off the road! Holy Fuck! Now what the fuck do I tell him? I am not trying to fuck up anyone’s shit or cause any trouble; I am just trying to get the hell out of here.

“Oh, yeah a few of my friends were trying to find some stuff out from me, and we stopped back on the road a bit back there. I am going to visit my dad for few weeks and they just needed to get some numbers and so on from me of where I could be reached.”

“That is why you have the bags?” he deduces.

“Yeah, yeah, that’s right.” I sigh.

“So you are fine?” he asks knowing full well there is more to this than I am letting on.

“Oh yeah, I am good. Just heading into town and I will be fine.”

He gives me back my license and is about to walk away when up rolls Muriel Dufrense, the Public Relations Officer Golden Era Productions. She literally rolls up right next to both of us as we are off to the side of the road on the shoulder in the Port Captain Office Honda.

“What’s the matter with Marc?” She says to the police officer through her passenger window as it continues to roll down.

“You know this gentleman ma’am?” He asks back.

“Oh yeah, he works at Golden Era Productions.” Muriel says, connecting the dots to his puzzle in one single sentence. The PR person screws up the PR. Wouldn’t you know it. Here I was, keeping this totally out of the realm of “Bad PR” for Golden Era Productions and in one short sentence, Muriel sinks that ship without even coming to a complete stop in her vehicle!

“Nothing is wrong ma’am, just a routine traffic stop. Move along.” He says to her as her motions her to get back on the road. I could almost see his whole demeanor change right then as he was processing the information.

He watches as she drives off and turns to me and says in the matter of fact “no more bullshit” voice, “Where you trying to get to dude?”

“U-Haul in town.” I reply knowing that he thinks something is up and I might as well just do what I need to do to get out of here.

“Another squad car is on the way; we will escort you there and make sure you get there okay.”

“Cool. I appreciate what you guys are doing for me.” I say as I go for my helmet.

I put it on as if we are done with the conversation part of the traffic stop assuming that I am not going to get a ticket or anything. Correct in that assumption, he heads back to the shelter of his car.

The rain is still going at a light sprinkle and as soon as I put the helmet back on the visor fogs right back up. I lift open the visor just in time to see the second car coming down the road towards us. He pulls up behind the first car and they both get out and talk for a second.

They get back into their cars and the first cop rolls in front of me and the second one pulls up behind me. I start up the bike, bump it into gear and we are off.

I think. Is this good? It could be good. It could be real bad. Are these guys at the Int Base going to flip when they find out from Muriel that the cops were escorting me into town?

I realize, oh yeah, I am getting a police escort now so that I can blow the Int Base without further distraction from people trying to recover me! Just great. So much for a quick, quiet escape. I had never heard of anyone using the local police to get away. Seems like that works rather well.
It was at that exact moment that I realized I was blown for good.

END OF EXCERPT

In order to get the book wrapped up, Blownforgood Inc is still looking for a few more people that have recently left to get their takes on what went down after 2007 on the inside. All of my sources have either been extracted by myself for their safety or offloaded. There are so many more items on the horizon that the few years will like a warm up period. If you or someone you know, has left the SO or staff in the last year and is interested in making it easier for guys on the inside to get out, send me an email at marc@blownforgood.com

Thanks and until next time…

Loved it, BFG. I wish you the best of luck with the writing and publishing. I hope you find the sources you are looking for.

I never would have guessed you got the BFG nick from realizing how much you belonged in the outside world, sparked by such an appropriate response from Law Enforcement! May you have many more such acts of compassion and good timing all the way to printing and release!

The book is sure to be a good one.

Damn, Marc... just, damn!

They get so offended when people call them a cult, yet your escape is a textbook example of leaving a cult! Nobody should be run off the road and chased down because they want to live their own life.

Thanks for sharing this with us, Marc.
When your book comes out, I'll be the first in line in the morning as the bookstore unlocks it's doors! 8)

The attempted murder of Marc Headley by Gold Base Security Chief Danny Dunegin was actually a very straightforward example of Scientology policy being enacted.

Wow.Amazing.
One of the really interesting things about this is the cop's reaction.Once he put the pieces together,he knew exactly what to do.Makes you wonder what kind of impression they have of Golden Era productions and how many times they've had these kind of experiences.Their PR around there must be pretty awful.

And sign me up for ten copies for our local libraries. I've been asked many time to donate for getting scientology-related books into local libraries and for the first time I think I now will:)

I work for the Postal Service and have seen libraries return the big white box of the "new" scientology books as unsolicated. So much for their bull about their books in all the libraries around here.

This is great Marc!! They have NO idea of the magnitude of the shitstorm that is about to rain down on them as more and more of their lies and abuses get exposed.

Just imagine another few hundred pages of this covering 15 years...
Yes, please and thank you. That would be delicious!

Marc, thanks for what you're doing, for not being shuttered into silence despite all the attempts at intimidation. Thanks for giving voice to a story that must be told, and for doing it in a way that leaves a permanent legacy. This book will never go away. It will serve as a warning and reminder to all future generations of what Scientology really is and why these kinds of mental freedom stopping institutions must be avoided. You are a courageous man delivering an imperative message. My sincere thanks to you, friend.

As Tory says, leap and the net will appear! You did, took quite a spill and then were graced by an escort. Life is quite the amazing adventure, isn't it?!

Please sign me up for a few copies as well! Larry, I love the donation to library idea!

Thank you for all you do in speaking the truth on the cult!

All the very best to you and yours!
