Hubbard Was a Hypnotist

Post by Hubbard's Mushroom » Sun Oct 19, 2008 5:43 am

Hubbard was a hypnotist.
Hubbard says hypnotism is a chief weapon of perverts
and "an excellent research tool in Dianetics."

I wonder how Hubbard knew so much about childhood
sexual abuse in the repressive 1950's....

+++++++++Sacred Cult Scripture+++++++++++++++

If you have a patient who is getting blank-outs during a certain
period, a patient who is sure somehow that he has had
homosexual relationships with somebody but can’t tell you
when or where, you start looking into hypnotism.

You may not find it, because one of the chief weapons of the
pervert is hypnotism. He uses hypnotism quite freely. I have
found many incidents of hypnotism used for perversion.

Even worse than that, you very often find that by contagion
of aberration the person will go out and dramatize the engram
without knowing it ever happened to him. He merely thinks,
“Well, that’s something to do,” so he is liable to hypnotize
somebody else.

The standard pervert session of hypnotism seems to wind
up, “Now, if you told anybody that this had happened, they
would never believe you!” Or if it is done to a young boy,
“Your mother and father would of course drive you from your
home if they knew about this. If you told them anything that
had happened here, they would not believe you. In fact you
can’t believe it yourself. You don’t think anything has
happened here at all.”

That perversion sequence may contain such a thing as “You
are a woman,” or if a woman is using it, “You are a man,”
and so on. It will be a hard engram to tackle in that it will be
completely out of view.

You may find this once in a hundred cases, although the
percentage to date has been about one out of 95 cases,
which is about one percent. This is only a series of about 180
so it is not a good statistic, merely a guess.

None of these remarks are leveled at hypnotists at all; they
are leveled exclusively at a practice which you will find in
the society.

Hypnotism may still have enormous therapeutic or
anesthetic value. In addition to that it is an excellent
research tool in Dianetics. But it is not something with which
you would toy idly. It has real horsepower in it.

You will discover hypnotic therapy or deep analysis in quite
a few patients who have undergone psychoanalysis. Deep
analysis is a practice of discovering hidden data and delivering
unto the patient insight regarding that data.

More research:
From Science of Survival by L. Ron Hubbard who wrote:It is noteworthy that the 1.1 to 0.5 area of the tone scale finds the muscles, particularly the sexual muscles, without tonus. The nymphomaniac and the satyr are extremely slackmuscled, and the tonus around 0.5 is almost non-existent.
According to Scientology, Hubbard did hands-on research.

From The Admissions by L. Ron Hubbard who wrote:I have a very bad masturbatory history. I was taught when I was 11 and, despite guilt, fear of insanity, etc. etc. I persisted. At a physical examination at a Y when I was about 13, the examiner and the people with him called me out of the line because my testicles hung low and cautioned me about what would happen if I kept on masturbating. This "discovery" was a bad shock to me.

I had to be so silent about it that now when a bedspring squeaks I lose all libido. I eventually found out I would not be insane, or injure myself but the scars remain.

Hubbard researched cored out butts and slack pussies
so he could start a religion?

In the 1950's, masturbation was hidden and regarded as
shameful, but why would a heterosexual man need self
hypnosis to be turned on to women?

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You do not masturbate. Masturbation cannot harm you in any
way but you would rather have women. Your penis and erotic
centers are very sensitive to women. You are not afraid that
someone will catch you masturbating. No one knows or ever
will know. Such discovery would be harmless. You do not
masturbate. Only women thrill you and very deeply."

More scientific research from a nymphomaniac's greatest friend:
Lecture 1 July 1950 Address of Auditor to Preclear - Saturday Evening Course wrote:Your own inventiveness could be called upon very definitely in-establishing the bond of affinity, if we just had a little firmer grip on what affinity actually is. It would be interesting to be able to both establish or break the bond.

The law of affinity becomes very embarrassing to a male hypnotist, for instance, who is foolish enough—and many of them are—to hypnotize a nymphomaniac, or for a woman hypnotist to hypnotize a satyr.

I was working with a hypnotist who had as one of his patients a nymphomaniac. And he said, “Now none of your tricks, Ron. This woman is coming up here. Don’t you tell her anything about me, and don’t you direct her attention toward me. I’m trying desperately to keep from treating her in any way. I don’t want to have anything to do with her, but she keeps hanging around all the time.”

So I said, “All right,” and I was immediately very interested. He was so afraid of something. Was he afraid of something because he was just afraid, or would it actually take place? It became immediately a scientific experiment. He had to leave the room for a moment after the girl came in, so I handed her a Hindu hypnoscope. She was quite suggestible. And I said, “You know, it’s the funniest thing, but as you gaze at this a little light like a neon light rolls around in it.”

She looked at it for a moment and said, “I don’t see that.”

And I said, “Well, look more closely at that spot in the center.”

So she did, and her eyes went pop. I didn’t say a word after that. The hypnotist came back in and started to work her, so of course we got immediate cross-hypnosis. He started speaking to her and he went on speaking to her for a few minutes, and then he left the room and I woke her up. Hypnotism’s very interesting. For about a week this woman was on the telephone any hour of the day or night trying to talk to him!

An auditor would do well to find out about hypnosis since he is going to have to undo hypnotism in many cases. And he will get this phenomenon of cross-hypnotism, where an operator has a person hypnotized and someone else just drifts by and says a word, not even to the person, and then the operator tries to do something and the patient won’t wake up. So the hypnotist has to ask the other person to wake her up. That person does so and the patient wakes up.

He has sort of walked through the affinity and carried some of it away with him leaving the operator no longer operating. Well, that was what happened to this hypnotist.

A good book on the subject is Hypnotism Comes of Age, but there is an old-timer published about 1900 called Twenty-five Lessons in Hypnotism and you can get it in secondhand bookstores for 35 cents. It is published by I. N. Ottenheimer Publishing Company, Baltimore, Maryland, and is by M. Young. That contains in it far more information than you will find in any modern book in the library. It is very fascinating and is in a very brief form. It could be scanned over in an evening. He covers in there clairvoyance and other things. Don’t take him too literally on some of these things. I’m sure that he was certain that he could levitate people merely by hypnotizing them and so on. But nearly everything in that book is possible by hypnotism and can be done, and almost anything in that book can be found in somebody’s reactive mind.

hummm, I wonder what this and on approach entailed. Being that he did clinical analysis, I wonder if he has any pictures or records of such experiments.

"It is a wonderful way to control." - L. Ron Hubbard

+++++++++++++Sacred Cult Scripture+++++++++++++++

There is an energy output, and as you start bringing a P.C.
up the tone scale there is a direct relationship between the
amount of cause he can be, and the energy output which
you see in his actual attention. The human race is pretty
squirreled up about this. An earlier group than us thought
there was an energy flow out of the forehead, and it came
from a third eye. It is just a somatic. I can wipe out third
eyes as fast as you can turn them on. Later on, people
thought there was a energy flow out of the eye. The
hypnotist uses this, but actually it is just the subject seeing
a shiny, glassy surface- which is hypnotic. The old
hypnotist had a pretty good line, because he always showed
them his left eye, which is the sinister side of the body.

That, by the way, is a facsimile; one that splits the body in
half, and make the sinister side, and the good side. (The
house divided against itself - divide and rule - I guess that
will keep you in line.) Is long as you can keep a persons’
attention units spinning, and enturbulating, as in the sketch
on the previous page - Boy! Can he be controlled.
Hypnotism is an example of this. The hypnotist works on
nothing but confusion. He will have some small boy stand
in a narrow door-way pressing out, with his hands held down
at his sides, and pressing out on the door frame. Then he
will have the boy step away, and into the room, and he will
say, “Your hands will now rise.” Of course the residual
muscular tension that has built up will cause his hands to
float up in the air willy - nilly. The child thinks, “What
happened to me I no longer control myself.” The hypnotist
can then implant (into this now completely unresistive
child) any suggestion he desires ... “You are now a dog.”
And the boy will bark.

That is what hypnotism is, a confusion done through some
sensory channel. It is nothing but a confusion through which
another individual can implant a flow of attention units.
This flow can be directed right to the motor control centers.
You can mesmerize a person, take over the motor control
centers, and you move - he moves. That, by the way, is
a psychoses. You will find people like that in institutions,
you raise your hand, and they will respond by raising their
same side hand. There was a country, not too long ago,
that got to doing this. It is a wonderful way to control.

By deep hypnosis or drugs we take a patient into
amnesia trance, a state of being wherein the "I" is
not in control but the operator is the "I"
(and that’s all there is, really, to the function of
hypnosis: the transfer of analytical power through the
law of affinity from subject to operator

++++++++++Sacred Cult Scripture++++++++++

Now all drug hypnosis, whether it is called narcosynthesis
or a visit from the god Aesculapius, is still hypnosis.
Whatever is said to a hypnotized subject remains as a
positive suggestion, and these positive suggestions are
simply engrams with a somewhat lighter effect and a
shorter duration. When a drug is present the hypnotism
is complicated by the fact that hypnotic drugs are, after
all, poisons; the body is then possessed of a permanent
(at least until dianetics was discovered) somatic to go
along with the suggestion. Drug hypnotism invariably
creates an engram.

Whatever a practitioner says to a drugged subject becomes
engramic in some degree. In the course of dianetic
research it first was supposed, playing back the careless
chatter of practitioners out of the minds of patients they
had placed under drug hypnosis, that this carelessness in
saying so many aberrative things was responsible for
some of the failure. But this was found to be true in a
very limited sense. Then it was discovered that when the
"unconscious" periods were reached by drug hypnosis
they refused to lift even when the patient recounted them
scores of times. This was blamed on the drug character
of the hypnosis.
