Give the media what they want?

Scanning through the online news reports on the Los Angeles shooting, I was struck by this webpage:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7745143.stm
on which the BBC reprinted the current press agency story. Nothing remarkable about it, but look at the side panel in which a Search program picks out previous stories that might be relevant:

The first Anonymous protest is covered, but none thereafter - at #2 is Epic Nose Guy but with no indication in the article that the incident was connected with Anonymous. After that we have two items related to the Panorama program - the BBC loves writing articles about itself - and one on Germany which was an Agency story.
The common thread is illegality: every article relates to it in some form, from a protester being summonsed to the possibility of the BBC breaking its own rules of conduct. The #1 article mentions 'cyber-terrorists' of course.
If you want publicity, do something illegal! Waving SWORDS in HOLLYWOOD and getting SHOT DEAD will do nicely. _________________ ARSCC Demographics Department
