I thought this was part was interesting:
| Quote: | Researchers from the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm analysed the 9 million-strong population of Sweden over a 30-year period and found close relatives of people with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder had an increased risk of both conditions, compared to the general population.
Evidence from adoptive and half-siblings suggested the effect was mainly due to genetic factors. |
So I guess that would mean being an SP is also genetic? |

You have obviously been listening to the evil psychs and all the terrible lies that the espees tell about Scientology or our beloved founder LRH and our current furher, em, I mean COB, DM. At a minimum, you are type 3 PTS. You need to report to the Fort Homicide, er, oops, I mean, the Fort Harrison in Clearwater for the Lisa room, oops, I mean, an introspection run down. A sea org slave, oops, I mean, a friendly registrar is waiting for your call even now as we speak, so you need to drop what you are doing and CALL RIGHT NOW! Of course, all major credit cards are accepted. Oh, while you are on the phone, we would also like to discuss your donation to the IAS to help fight psychiatry internationally. The need is urgent, you need to get involved for the good of the planet.

| Schizophrenia and bipolar may be different branches sprouting from the same trunk. Bipolar is more treatable and many who suffer from it are able to live productive lives. Ted Turner has bipolar. So does Patty Duke and a number of others who are back in the mainstream due to taking proper MEDICATION. It often shows up later in life than schizophrenia which makes schizophrenia all the more tragic. Schizophrenia knocks victims off their pinnings when they are in their teens or early twenties. Schizophrenia may be alleviated or controlled by MEDICATION but all too many of its victims still languish their lives away in assisted-living facilities because the disease affects their thought processes. Bipolar is more of a mood disorder. It is possible to have dual diagnoses. One of my family members was so diagnosed which is what all the flap is about between my family and CoS. She is now seven years younger than me and languishing in a nursing home. |
