I know of someone who was compelled after reading the articles in the SP Times to write a letter corroborating Marty's, Mike's, Tom's and Amy's accounts. Miscavige has ordered his staff to swear to the reporters that these were outright lies. If all the people who witnessed the events that they describe-or similar ones-write letters to The Times reporters that verify their veracity, it might help substantiate their stories. It would also, I suspect, (as it was for my friend who wrote to them) be cathartic for those who do. If the cult is holding something over your head as blackmail that might make you hesitate, know that these journalists would not publish your name if you ask that they do not. Miscavige is banking on the idea that if he gets 20+ people (including the victims themselves in some cases) to say that these events never happened, their numbers will cast doubt on those 'four isolated and bitter apostates'. On the off chance that Miscavige's tactic is effective on some readers, why not get a hundred letters to those reporters and give DM a dose of his own medicine? It could even lead to a nice follow-up piece in The Times... Overwhelming numbers may prove overwhelming.

Hi, Jason.
Hey, you might want to tune into KFI640 right now! (It's an am radio station in LA).
They're doing a show on the SP Times article.

You should call in. Very Happy

I would say get as many people as possible, from some of the interviews and what they have reported, DM sounds delusional and out of control, and who knows where this could lead? Time might be of the essense.

Great idea, Jason! Fortunately I wasn't there (or ever in Scientology) so no corroboration from me.

To those out there who can help, please do! Realise the cult hasn't the power it once had. Newspapers, magazines and television all run stories frequently as opposed to the old days. The critic numbers have swelled to huge figures thanks to the Internet, exes comparing stories and families sick of losing family members. The dam is leaking in a thousand places; they can't stop it! So speak out, speak out anonymously if you like, but speak out! Don't let Miscavige and Scientology ruin any more lives!

Hey Jason! Great idea.

I emailed them with such info. I got no answer but I assume they got it.

Also I made a comment on one of the SP times online articles and in my comments listed five more of us that have gone on the record about David Miscavige's beatings. But I did not see the comments show up online so perhaps I am a technical retard and just did it wrong. (LIkewise comments I made for the first article in the series also never showed up).

Nonetheless, we now have the following NINE EX staff on the record saying they have personally witnessed David Miscavige beating others and/or were beaten themselves by David Miscavige ("Slappy"):

There are the four new accounts of Amy, Tom, Mike and Marty.

But, before them there were also accounts from myself and four others:

Larry Brennan
Bruce Heines
Jeff Hawkins
John Peeler; and
Marc Headly.

So that's NINE and counting.

MANY more can be added to this list when and if they choose to come forward.

If someone wants to take on a little project to do up something for us all to sign as witnesses, I for one would sign it. It's also in the affidavit I did.

Anyway, thanks for posting on this Jason.

I look forward to getting together again some time.

Larry Brennan

May I also put in the word that these abuses may not only be on SO level. There are instances of staff abuses in Cl V orgs. I have not personally heard of people being hit but I have heard stories of people being pushed against walls and threatened. I would not be surprised to hear of actual striking though.

Those exe's who have left in the last few years have stories to tell. Please speak out.

I have never been hit by David Miscavige, unfortunately. But I would not put it past him! (I never worked directly for him).

The Sea Org environment is abusive. Get the idea of that Tommy Davis response to SP Times and multiply that times 24 hours a day and you get the idea what it is like in the Sea Org.

(I did get hit by a girl named Jane Ruffolo though... in the SO at CC Int)
