Possibly the best of possible outcomes.

In Germany the public got the impression that their Government had banned Scientology - several German tourists told me they had at pickets in London years ago. "In my country, ve hav banned zeze people!" Problem sorted.

In France it's now the opposite. The public know their useless politicians haven't banned Scientology because the cult infiltrated AGAIN and changed the law. Not that I think they did, but that's what the public will readily believe.

So now severely embarrassed civil servants are going to given funding to watch the cult, and as we know the footbullets will come as the fanatics in the USA order CoS(France) to follow Policy. Assuming there are any staff left after this that is - time to blow my friends!

I just heard the news this morning.

KFI in Los Angeles will do a special segment on it later (I think after noon) on the Bill Handel show.

KFI640.com

It's a very big radio station.

From the BBC news report in the media thread....
Quote:
Tommy Davis, spokesman for the Church of Scientology International, told BBC News that the court had acted "in total violation of the European Convention on Human Rights and French constitutional guarantees on freedom".

The case "fell flat on its face", he said.

"The fines will get thrown out on appeal. We've had similar cases before and in other countries. If it has to go to the court of human rights we're confident we will win there."

Speaking by phone from the US, he said it was a "political gesture" against the church, but "Scientology will continue to grow in France".

I think Tommy Davis is trying to relive the OSA cult heydays of which he only read about but was never part of.

Incredible butthurt. I'm really surpised he's even allowed to talk to the media after the ABC Nightline fiasco. I'm glad he is. I love his footbullets.

I don't know what grounds he thinks they would have to appeal to the ECHR. It was a simple fraud case, and purposefully kept that way. No "religion" was harmed, or the practising thereof.

The court decision doesn't make martyrs. No Scientology staff in jail, no "abolishing a religion." Minimal opportunity for CoS to push Obama to protest "persecution." Instead: Fraud. Monetary penalties. Celebrity Centre name dirtied. Horrible public relations. I like it.

Yup.

Maybe the cult hope to infiltrate better on appeal Wink. According to scino-think, the judges must have crimes.
They'd be idiots, I mean more idiotic than usual, not to consider themselves lucky with what they've been landed with.

30 years and experienced this fraud, first hand, give me a call.
There are many others, thankfully, now willing to speak out, too
