It's possible that twice, a pregnant Sea Org worker was kept separately with a trusted few, so that most Gold or Flag workers were unaware of each woman's situation. It's also possible they were separated from co-workers so that the biological fathers never learned the women were pregnant. If Sea Org successfully arranged the first adoption and satisfied Tom and Nicole, it would be an easy matter to convince Tom and Nicole to adopt a second child the same way. I found a number of mentions that Connor was born in Florida, but Bella's birthplace is only mentioned in the above msnbc quote in Ladybird's post, which names her birthplace as Florida. Unfortunately, the link is broken, as well as the link from its original thread at viewtopic.php?t=26856&start=15 . Since Tom and Nicole lived far from Florida, a birth mother from Florida, especially one in Sea Org, would have trouble trying to contact Tom and Nicole with requests to see the baby. I've also not seen news of Tom or Nicole visiting Flag or even the state of Florida Suri, where some worker could run up and claim to be the birth mother. In contrast, John Travolta, whose wife Kelly bore his children, lives in Florida.

Nicole was mysterious about the first adoption; A Vanity Fair article quoted Nicole:
And we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic. And that's when it came that we should adopt Bella." Cryptically, she adds, "There's a complicated background to that, given that I never speak much about many things. One day maybe that story will be told.

The below link shows that the babies were born in silence, which makes it likelier that the biological mothers were Sea Org workers who must obey, and would cooperate with a possibly secretive birth.
When he adopted Isabella and Connor, Cruise insisted their biological mothers deliver the babies in near-silence, under conditions dictated by founder L. Ron Hubbard in his best-selling book "Dianetics."

The main reason I was wondering about the Sea Org moms was that I thought all of those moms were coerced/forced into having abortions

I hope one day Nicole Kidman will speak about the "complicated background to that (the adoptions), given that I never speak much about many things. One day maybe that story will be told.
Anyone who cares to look into these private "adoptions" and photos can find a lot of evidence as to who the true parents were. Anybody who knew Nestor Vives can see that Conner Cruise is likely his son. The pictures tell the story.

Bella was adopted from Palm Beach County, FL says an article Smurf posted on whyweprotest.
The issue of parental abandonment has caught the attention of The Florida Bar`s adoption laws committee, said co-chairman Cohn, who represented Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman during their adoption in Palm Beach County last month.
http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/1993-0 ... ve-parents

Now that Bella is over 18, if she wishes she can use her birthdate, adoption in Palm Beach County, and being white and female to narrow down her birth. She may have been born outside of Palm Beach County, of course.
The Florida Adoption Reunion Registry* was established in 1982 by the Legislature for people affected by adoption to have the opportunity to meet.

...they work to reunite all parties, if everyone is willing, including tracking down an adoptee or birth mother if one party wants to meet the other. The state reunion registry does not take that final step. No information is given unless everyone agrees to the reunion. Anchors said they charge a nominal fee for reuniting mothers and children.
Those wishing to meet their birth parent or child can take a final step and file a motion with the clerk of the court in the county where their adoption was finalized to open their file and/or have the court obtain their file from the adoption agency.

From Andrew Morton's book on Cruise...

"During filming ("The Firm"), Tom and Nicole were actively taking steps to start a family, a process that seemingly been put on hold earlier in the year. Having quietly bought a condo on Marco Island, Florida, they were eligible to adopt in the state that happened to be the East Coast headquarters of Scientology, the town of Clearwater controversially infiltrated by the organization.

In December 1992, while Tom was filming "The Firm," the couple filed formal adoption papers in Palm Beach County. Unlike many hopeful couples, they only had to wait a matter of weeks before being told they were parents. In January 1993, they went to a Miami hospital and picked up a healthy, dark-haired baby girl born only a few days earlier, on December 22. The thrilled parents called her Isabella Jane Kidman Cruise.

There was no family link; they just liked the name Isabella."

There has been alot of chatter over the years that Connor looks more & more like his father, Tom. Has anyone considered that Connor might be the product of an illicit affair between Tom & a black woman? That the "adoption" was a cover to hide the 2-D affair?

Thanks Smurf. So maybe Bella was born in Dade County. If Bella and Connor (when he turns 18) have medical issues, they'd be wise to find their biological parents, and learn what diseases may have been inherited in their DNA.

However, Bella should wait until Jan 17, 2013, when Connor will be 18. If she starts this process while Connor is still a minor, Tom could force Connor to disconnect from her, and worse, force Connor into Sea Org. If Bella starts the process before January 2013, it would be hard to keep her e-mail, browsing history, phone calls and snail mail secret from everyone, especially blabby teen friends and Tom Cruise, so she would need to live in her own apartment or with a supportive and non-blabby Nicole. If there is a dramatic reunion with the birth mother or father before January 2013 it will be impossible to keep it secret. Better to wait, and hope that when she confides in an adult Connor, he will join her quest, or at least quietly support her.

Going on the Florida Adopion Reunion Registry after January 2013 could be a brother-sister project, with interesting results. I have close relatives who did an open adoption, and many adoptees are intensely longing to find their biological parents. I respect the feelings of the adopting parents that they don't want to share the child with someone who signed away all rights years ago.

However, a Sea Org worker might have been coerced into the adoption. When the woman got pregnant, CoS may have separated her from the biological father and gotten her to lie to the father that she had a miscarriage. Or, the father was a favored and loyal Sea Org officer, even Miscavige himself. The birth mother could have been working at Gold and, when pregnant, sent to Florida to hide the pregnancy from gossipy Californian Sea Org workers. It's possible that foreign Sea Org workers with poor English helped house and support the birth mother in Florida without ever learning her name. Besides the strong Sea Org network in Florida to control the birth mother, Sea Org also has cooperative and discreet lawyers in Florida. The birth mother might even have been told to lie about her name and the father's name, on the birth certificate and adoption records. The biological mother might have been lied to ("a nice Scientology family from Atlanta adopted your baby"). Or, the birth mother might be a fully-informed, and fiercely pro-CoS high-ranking Sea Org woman today. With all the craziness, Bella and Connor, after January 2013, should ask for DNA tests to confirm whichever parent(s) they found, and keep pushing until each has found both biological parents.

Another reason to wait until 2013 is that the full story may be even worse than the above, and Bella and Connor need emotional maturity to absorb it. There is no guaranteed fairy-tale ending; and CoS may have covered its tracks so completely the birth parents are unfindable, and the birth parents may never have the freedom to post on adoption-finding data networks. If Bella and Connor haven't kept the search secret, their quest could be found out by Tom while they never did get to find their biological parents. They will have to be discreet and work hard to keep all their relationships as strong as possible.

My guess is Tom Cruise and Kidman were deceived about the adoption being fully voluntary, so they shouldn't fear the full truth. Kidman especially is key. If Tom Cruise becomes irate, Kidman can provide love, job connections, and financial support for Bella and Connor.

Miscavige will lose power over Sea Org workers through criminal cases, scandal, or even death from his overuse of hard liquor and cigarettes. Then some secrets may no longer be enforced at Sea Org, and maybe Bella and Connor's birth parents can be found. This could take years, but it IS inevitable.
