It is just Hubbard techno-babble put there so you strive for it but never attain it - for the simple reason that there is nothing there to attain. Just who in the world that you have ever known can makes things happen by intending it? Is there a single person alive in this world now who could intend a teaspoon balanced on the edge of a glass to topple using intention alone? Or using a tractor or pressor beam to knock it off? Don't go around asking for proof. It's bad for the person's case. In fact, it seems to me that most of the truly amazing things that happen to a Scientologist are unprovable, because asking or requiring proof either ruins the case or makes the amazing thing not work. Scientology doesn't need faith, it is all very scientific and proven, but don't try to prove it. Interesting how that works out! -Mike O'Connor

I am curious about this "e-meter". From all appearances, an e-meter measures electrical inductance passing through the human body. If there were circuitry involved which can measure human thought, emotion, or the presence of some astral body, wouldn't such technology be a miracle of science? Why has the technology not progressed beyond a meter with a needle? If such forces are quantifiable, why is computer technology not used to image and further define these phenomena?
