New Haven Org Sept 2006
I was in New Haven on Saturday, Sept 9, 2006 and I thought I'd drop by and see how the New Haven org was doing.
I have uploaded 3 pictures of the current org and 6 pictures of the future
Ideal Org.
The future org is about 500 feet up the street from the existing org. It
used to be a furniture store and I believe Scn purchased it about 2 years
ago.
The building doesn't look like there's been any renovations in the past few
years and I'm sure the New Haven staff are busy regging their public for
every dime they have in order to get the building up and running.
As you can see there is a little body traffic in front of the org and that's
because they are located in a little artsy village section of New Haven.
It looks like they are using the parking lot of the future building for
staff and public and I counted 12 cars in the lot. I'm not very up to date
on what is going on in New Haven but last I knew they had about 10 staff.
I observed two people leave the current org and go to their cars parked at the future org. I didn't recognize them but I assumed they were public.
As you can see there is a little body traffic in front of the org and that's

PattyP:
These are some KICK @SS pictures. I love how the sign at the old org is rusted and the one at the new org is falling down. What an apt metaphor.
Haven't the $cienos ever hear of Round Up?
Additionally what a charmless edifice on the new org. It looks like a place the Skull and Bones Society would meet which is convenient, because Yale in innahouse.
Regards,
Natty

I was in New Haven last weekend and got a few pics of the abandoned org:

It is a very large building. I guess this goes to show how much scientology is really expanding, considering they were right next to a university and couldn't recruit enough "raw meat" to pay their bills.

Aha! So they did decide to leave the potential site. Sweet.
Oh and hi. New here. I never had trouble with the CoS and I was never part of the CoS in any way, but I've read some of the posts here and decided this was an interesting place. I've heard enough about the Church to last me a few years, and I'm, unfortunately, more inclined to believe to bad stuff.
I am aware some people have formed the Reformed CoS, but I've not much idea of how much difference, if any, exists between the two. Considering I hear more about the mother church than the offshoot, though, maybe the RCoS isnt' so bad.

"Your own happiness" -----> "You own happiness."
Well well well, it seems the local org needs some new blood. While I was waiting for the bus yesterday, some guy carrying a Remax tote bag was walking around. I thought maybe he was a sales rep or something, but then he handed me a ticket to a screening of "Dianetics: The Story of BOOK ONE" at the Dianetics Foundation in New Haven.
The tagline on the ticket reads "When life becomes a battleground, your mind is your best weapon." Such irony. Methinks I might take the time tomorrow to spread a little counter-propaganda.
