Now I'm beginning to wonder if other celebs are also reaping excessive, unclaimed benefits on the backs of the lesser privileged in this multi-layered organization and thinking nothing of it. Scientology has inflated their sense of entitlement by babying them and shielding them from the ugly truth, but if it does come out that this is so they will be no less culpable and may even experience what it feels like to be shamed and shunned by their peers, something the RPFers experience every day often for years on end.

The leech-like behavior and sycophancy of the scientology system towards its celebrity adherents is repulsive. It makes a mockery of Hollywood culture by treating its celebrities like royalty, especially when they do not deserve it. The caste system in scientology is abhorrent to me and through its system scientology greatly contributes to the motion that gives celebrity culture a bad name. I hope Hollywood culture does the right thing and begins to confront its scientology shillebrities about the gross and unethical behavior of the system to which they belong.

The mass followership in scientology is powerless to do anything to save their religion. But the shillebrities have enough clout to bring about change. If the shillebrities banded together and asked for DM's resignation, they just might get it. If they are all afraid their auditing secrets will be used against them, well piss on them. Their continued silence only serves to perpetuate a system of abuse.

I agree that the cult's sycophantic worship of celebrities is in extremely bad taste. With the accumulated wealth of Tom Cruise,Lisa-Marie Presley,John Travolta,Kirstie Alley,etc-these people could really have made a big difference many many people's lives and saved many lives.Instead they decide to devote shedloads of time, money and energy into DM's evil little empire, the money going towards his luxury lifestyle while Sea Orgers slave away in inhumane conditions..or the money goes to legal cases or Private Investigators,in an attempt to intimidate or smear innocent people.Or paying for the printing of thousands of books which will only be bought by over-enthusiastic or pressurised cult members who will one day give it all to a charity shop where it will languish until it's thrown away.Or it goes to engraving L.Ron's poisonous gibberish on titanium plates..what a waste of time and energy. If Scientology really teaches we are all thetans then don't all thetans deserve the same level of respect, whether they are celebrities or lowly Sea Orgers? Not according to L.wrong.

The good news is that Tom Cruise's star has definitely fallen here. In fact, in the first Panorama BBC doc with John Sweeney (I believe that's the source), Mike Rinder is asked whether Tom Cruise is an asset or a liability to Scientology. Clearly, Rinder understood what was meant but as the current PR person responded (paraphrase): "Is that a serious question?!"

Cruise is coming out with another Mission Impossible movie at soon, but people will be seeing it in SPITE of him if they do go see it.

That crack about Brooke Shields and post-partum depression - the infamous, "No, let me tell YOU, about psychiatry, Matt Lauer!" interview on the "Today" show - combined with him jumping on Oprah's couch sealed his fate as a mean weirdo.

It really was the Brooke Shields thing, though, that did him in. Brooke Shields isn't necessarily an A-list star anymore, but everyone likes her and Cruise's timing couldn't have been worse -- Shields was really doing a favor to the public as she highlighted the problem of post-partum depression and people admired her for it.

Having Tom Cruise as part of a movie is no longer the asset it once was -- in fact, it might even be a liability. It's almost funny to wonder if at some point if the Co$ will eventually decide Cruise is a liability, given the fact that they contributed like no other to bringing him down.

There was a story on one of these places some time ago, about I believe it was the chef that works for Tom Cruise. He was a Sea Org member, and it was about the flipside of being "Tom brings his personal chef along" to I believe one of Cruise's weddings. I want to say it was when he married Nicole Kidman in Colorado.

If I remember right, he was flown on Cruises's plane so he didn't have to buy a ticket, but from there, it was nightmarish. He was required to buy Cruise a nice gift on his $50 or less salary, and he had to beg and borrow from anyone to get the money. Because he wasn't at the Sea Org, he wasn't getting his tiny wage. He was also expected to pay for things as they went places, with money he of course didn't have. The gift he bought was considered not good enough and I think ultimately not given.

So the guy is scrounging for pennies and treated awful, and Gold is left with two people to cook for everybody there. If anyone has a link to this story, or knows more about it, please chime in.

The scientology star pampering is disgusting, but it is not just scientology. Mainstream culture is starstruck. Magazines full of stars, baby's of stars, sisters , brothers and neighbors of stars. Twice on National TV and you're a celeb, you get your face in the tabloids and strange people suddenly want to hear al your BS, wether you have anything useful to tell or not.

Then CoS comes along along to sell you a communications training, to handle those pesky journalists. It's a self-perpetuating system. As long as being famous means being superhuman in the eyes of the public, this will go on.

And nobody cares about the "nobodies" in the Sea Org. :furious: I mean, they're just nobodies.

What Happens in CoS When Tom Cruise Loses Money in an Investment?
Marty’s Blog, April 12, 2010:

Re Tom’s money being lost by Scientologists. Amy covers her first-hand experience with Alan
Hollander. He was sent to Amy to get him to join the Sea Org (even though he had huge pressing
debts). DM had Alan immediately put in the bilges on the ship for punishment – for what reason,
Amy did not know at that time. When Alan served his sentence and resurfaced, he told Amy he
had been assigned to hard labor because he messed up on some investment for Tom Cruise.
She then was ordered to post him in CC Int. She complied, but he had to leave the Sea Org shortly
thereafter because his debts were so bad and were not getting handled. Bert, first check your facts
with Hollander and your client. Then what you need to do is apply some “varying of the question” and
ask DM about the Feshbachs.

DM got Tom to invest a bundle with them as he had also done personally. The Fessbach brothers
were making DM so much money personally from their short selling DM wanted to impress
Tom with the caliber of his brand of OTs. The Feschbachs lost Tom’s and DM’s (new) investment money.
In order to stay in with the in-crowd (perhaps so that their
progeny might one day pimp for DM) they put their own money up to cover both Tom’s and
DM’s losses. It seems the more DM tries to muscle people, the more he refreshes my memory.
Re church paid staff working for Cruise. Amy did a project to hire Scientologists for TC’s
household. Amy went to Tom’s house and Jenny Gaynor (LRH Household Unit staff member)
was there working for TC at the direction of Miscavige. Gaynor told Amy that Amy was
replacing her on all the functions she was performing for Tom… (executive housekeeper, maid,
cook). Again Bert, why don’t you ask Jenny whether that is true, or DM, or Shelly, or perhaps
even your nominal client?

Comments: Excess benefits transaction to DM and Tom Cruise, inurement to DM. DM has a
fiduciary relationship to the church, uses his position to secure for him and Tom what appears to
be a large sum of money to offset losses in the stock market. Not to mention the SEC issue for
the Feshbachs. BTW, this really, really smells; is one of those “bad facts” that tend to discredit
entirely a defendant.

Mike Rinder relates a story in which David Miscavige asked Mike to get $500,000 as a "gift" from Bob Minton.

According to Rinder, Miscavige wanted the $500,000 as a "gift" so he would not have to pay taxes on it. Minton was reportedly supposed to gift DM $500,000 to make up for all of the anguish he, Minton, had caused DM. I wonder if DM wanted this money to invest with the Fessbach Brothers?

This anguish apparently occurred after David Miscavige "Case Supervised" Lisa McPherson into insanity and caused her death. Bob Minton was pivotal in exposing the death of Lisa McPherson -- a death that threatened to get David Miscavige named in criminal charges.

According to Indies, Flag spent ~$45,000,000 defending David Miscavige and CoS in the McPherson case, and other CoS groups contributed an equal amount. After spending somewhere around $90,000,000 to defend David Miscavige and CoS, then, the Cult settled with the McPherson estate on the eve of the civil trial. IMO, it would have been cheaper in the long run for the Cult to surrender Dave to the authorities in 1997, skip the Ideal Org Era, and get on with its normal business of Trafficking in Evil.

*****
There is endless money in The Church of Scientology if your name is David Miscavige. There are endless gifts if your name is Tom Cruise. Life is so good in fact that Miscavige thinks nothing of docking the pay of Sea Org for his birthday gifts, for examples his Acura automobiles or custom motorcycles. Life is good for Dave:
