scientology exit survey
I did not see this posted here so I thought I would show a link and add some copypasta to let people here know of this survey.
Some EXes may wish to take this survey. It can't hurt and it looks to me like it will be put to good use.
So here it is in the event you may be interested in helping by filling out this short survey:

COPYPASTA:
"Greetings All!
The researchfag anons from WWP and elsewhere, are proud to announce an exciting new data collection & analysis project for the polling pleasure of all former CofS members et al.
Church of Scientology Exit Survey:
http://tinyurl.com/CofSExit
The CoS Exit Survey Project is dedicated to the creation of a simple 20-question polling instrument for those who have left the control of the Church of Scientology, and publication of survey results online for further value-added statistical analysis and commentary.
This online survey has been crafted to respect the real-life experience and current beliefs for both those who continue Scientology practice in some form and those who do not. It has also been designed to maximize its usefulness to a broad range of communities and interests including opinion and decision makers in the major institutions of society.
For more details on this effort including full disclosure of survey content, our mission statement, and the tabulated results that will be published on an ongoing basis for all to ponder on, please read the wiki page that serves as a central square for this project at: http://tinyurl.com/CofSExitWiki
NOTE: The survey is designed for Ex-Scientologists, Independent Scientologists, and those unwittingly exposed to Scientology doctrines as clients, employees, or students of front group organizations. Anons and others with no direct CofS training or processing experience need not apply... check out the "Online Survey" dox on the wiki page noted above to view the text or screen capture version of the live questionnaire.
And please help us spread this to all the sibling forums as well as forwarding this post to your friends, family, colleagues & favorite bloggers or other contacts who are amongst those that are disaffected with or disconnected from their personal CofS experience.
We also apologize in advance for imposing yet another questionnaire on you - but there has been a great deal of care & attention put into this survey to reap some value-added info for use with harpooning the cult in the days ahead. plus its nothing like a CofS survey and the tabulated results will be very easy on the eye to look at
Special thanks to all the former members of organized scientology & the many other collaborators who helped us put this together - cheers to you mates, it oughta be interesting to watch the results come in!"

Thank you, AnonLover and Anonymous. Another fabulous wiki project.
When I did the survey yesterday, there were ~50 respondents. Up to 105 right now, and counting...

Here is a little update on this survey:
Wiki-based reporting has been setup for publishing ongoing survey results and is available here:
http://wiki.whyweprotest.net/CofS_Exit_ ... ey_Results
Also, there's a news wire blogspot for subscribing to wiki updates and latest announcements available here:
http://cofsexit.blogspot.com/
I filled out the survey myself. It was quick and easy and you do it anonymously.
Also, I find the survey results so far very interesting and I thought you might as well.
The more people who fill out this survey, the more interesting and informative will be the results.

Re: scientology exit survey
bumpity... oh hai, look who finally got registered up in here
this exit survey project is still ongoing, and unlike recent & not-so-recent efforts from Rinder and the cult apologist James R. Lewis - the results are fully published! (and distributed under CC0 license for anybody and everybody to use / re-use the findings however they wish). Here's the latest batch of exit survey reports & graphics for your viewing pleasure:
As of Oct 16, 2010 with 298 respondents
(see also wiki page showcase for a comprehensive project index, the following info is mirrored from the "Current Reports" section)
I'm also working on an idea to redo the exit survey micro blog (available here http://cofsexit.blogspot.com/ ) and rebrand it as the "Scientology Exit Zone News Wire". Then expand it to include promotion of several projects (instead of just one) & highlight other resources that all fit in the vein of helping members find their way towards leaving the cult for good. More news on this front once the blog do-over is released.

1st Qtr 2011 Results
The latest round of quarterly survey results is now available for your viewing pleasure:
As of April 3, 2011 with 380 total respondents
(crossposted from wiki index: Survey Results - Current Reports)
Despite that drop in new responses, the 20 that we did get were chock full of old timers rich in experience and nearly 1/2 fell into the 10-15 years in the church bracket while 1/3 were in the > 25 yrs bracket. This gave us some much needed balance in the time-spent demographics so it's all good.
Some highlights well worth perusing & spreading... check out the image album link above for moar.

^^75% of respondents who answered this question feel the Church of Scientology did them undue harm.
And as always, all the compiled survey results are released under a Creative Commons Zero license. So anyone interested in reusing any of this stuff is free to do so however they wish. The full collection of dox on scribd is available here: Church of Scientology Exit Survey
And for those ex-members who haven't taken the exit survey yet, here's hoping the published results inspire u to contribute your experiences to all of our ongoing Scientology Exit Zone data collection projects (w/ the same old beg-borrow-n-plead song-n-dance inserted here

Re: scientology exit survey
The latest round of quarterly survey results is now available for your viewing pleasure:
As of July 3, 2011 with 400 total respondents
(crossposted from wiki index: Survey Results - Current Reports)
Were up by another 20 responses from 1st qtr of 2011, and methinks I really need to start trolling ESMB much harder for poll takers again, or find some new venue of promoting it beyond the anon-friendly camps.
The 20 new ones we got were approx. 50% in the 5-15yrs time spent bracket, and the other 50% fairly evenly spread across all the other time spent demographics for 1+ years in.
Some highlights well worth perusing & spreading... check out the image album link above for many more.

(Analytical factoid: note the difference between these next two is ever so slight. Such that it sorta appears at-a-glance there is maybe woolly mammoth sized pothole in the bridge round about 15-20+ years in)

(emerging trend brewing on this last one, the "got help after 10 yrs" qtrly increase tends to be a hair higher than being equal to all the increases everywhere else. eg 16/20 of the new respondents for last qtr got some form of assistance with 9/16 in the after 10yrs category. And this 55-60% vs. 45-40% ratio has persisted for the past 3 qtrs)

Re: scientology exit survey
Very interesting project! Love the graphs. The results are about what I'd expect, but I'm a little surprised more people don't bail right after the purification step. The results are skewed due to sampling size and distribution of the poll, I suspect.

Re: scientology exit survey
It's that time again... the latest round of quarterly survey results is now floated for viewing at your websurfing leisure:
As of October 9, 2011 with 414 total respondents
(crossposted from the Exit Zone blog: Scientology Exit Survey Results Published for Q3 2011)
The 14 new responses we got in the past quarter stacked up roughly as 1/3 in the 5-15 years spent in bracket, 1/3 in the 20+ years spent brackets, and the remaining 1/3 spread across all the other time spent demographics for 3+ years in.
Added Bonus - Cult expert Steven Hassan from the Freedom of Mind Center has graciously agreed to review and critique the findings of this modest attempt by Project Chanology researchfags at amateur scholarship, once we reach 500 respondents.
And here's a few highlights from the latest reporting batch...

Re: scientology exit survey
Nice work. The most-reported, and most-repeated course is the dangerous Purification Rundown. Narconon is a BIG part of dragging people into Scientology.
