When I did the "training" to do the "stress test" there was a piece in there that said to invade the privacy of the person to whom the "stress test" was being administered. I think it was in writing in the materials but I am not sure if it was a quote from L. Ron Hubbard. The material for that training was heavily laden with L. Ron Hubbard's writings from policies, bulletins, and other sources including "professional auditor's bulletins" (PABs).

I'm glad I left before actually putting that training into use.

Hammering out of existence incorrect technology would include $cientology itself!

Bumping this thread with this link from WWP about scientology's WISE organization practicing it's own variation of Suppressive Person doctrine against businesses, publishing lists in the "WISE at Work" magazines. This just isn't morally wrong as per usual SP doctrine but this kind of business black-balling may have huge legal implications for the cult, Federally....

In the post in this WWP thread someone has copied the list of SP WISE members declared, sorted by issue and region, from 5 issues of "WISE at Work" since 2005.

This magazine article from wise at work helps to illustrate how Scientology executes the SP doctrine in the business world.

Studying and Drilling

A complete pack of materials was presented to each attendee including the Code of a WISE Member, the membership agreement with WISE, and various HCO Policy Letters on the subject of ethics.

They were then drilled on the application of what they had studied after each portion of theory study.

Drills included such things as pulling a string* based on something not understood. This was actually a practical assignment and attendees pulled strings on each other.

Another drill the attendees did was to use the Code of a WISE Member to sign up or recover a WISE member. Not one of the attendees had ever used this approach before, but were very excited about the idea of bringing about a change in the beingness of a person as a Scientologist in business and WISE member, through standard enlightenment on WISE.

They also did Chinese School on "E/O [Ethics Officer] Conduct" from HCO PL, THE ETHICS OFFICER, HIS CHARACTER.

After the Weekend

Just about everyone realized that they themselves needed to improve their own ethical behavior, and also spotted others back home that they wanted to apply their new knowledge and skill to. They didn't wait to get back home to start, though. They started then and there to confront and handle out-ethics situations.

So not only did everyone learn a lot, they also had a great time, with high morale from the hard work and stiff targets they completed over the weekend.

And to top it off, Wendy Patten of Long Island decided to become a Sea Org member as a WISE Inspector. She signed up without comm lag and will arrive in a few weeks!

Results

The response from the Confront of Evil Conference has been the most instantaneous and most dramatic of any previous WISE conference held in the Eastern US.

Many of the attendees have now taken on more responsibility as Charter members and assumed posts such as the Ethics Officer of the committee.

Their eyes were opened to situations in their areas needed to be confronted and handled and they started right away.

The second Confront of Evil Conference has also now been held in New York for those who missed the first one. These conferences will be held in every continental zone. Contact your local WISE office for dates and locations. This is something you don't want to miss!

Bob and Leslie Beilhart have been disseminating LRH tech in consulting groups for close to 20 years. A perfect dissemination couple, they are star players in the Prescott Group, the WISE-licensed consulting group in Orange County, California.

“Our line is simple. Firstly it’s vital that clients have an ethical approach to life— without it they won’t apply and truly benefit from LRH admin tech. Thus clients train on ethics courses such as the Ups and Downs in Life course[2] and the Personal Integrity course. We then test them and based on the test profile provide a 10-day training program. It’s during these first courses on ethics that we see those personal factors which often are crippling the client. We recommend a Tone Scale Seminar and then an introductory service such as a Dianetics Seminar at the local Church. Many sign up for further services. I keep a very tight line in with the client and the local church, ensuring their personal ruins are handled. In the last two years we’ve referred more than 400 clients to Churches of Scientology. The clients love it and do much better in business, which helps us do our job. I also always keep our staff informed of the wins of clients in their personal lives—it’s great seeing our clients win!
They Started with Us!

Winning clients of consultants inevitably reach for more LRH tech, when that happens so do stories like this.

After 25 years I thought I’d seen it all as regards management help. Then I did a series of courses by L Ron Hubbard with the Prescott consulting group. I learned to manage by statistics. They drilled me on all the management techniques. I bought an Organization Executive Course Volume Zero. I was amazed at this magic book that always opened to exactly the page I needed to read.

Some months into the program Bob Beilhart discovered that my office manager was about to quit; this would have been a disaster. Bob put us in communication and helped us to solve the problem then and there. That action was worth the program. Robin decided to keep her job of 16 years and I asked her to marry me. She said “Yes!” Now that is how to keep good help at the office!

After I took the courses and found out what a great effect they had on me, my patients and my office, I started looking for more of the same. Bob referred me to the Church of Scientology Los Angeles. I got Scientology auditing and more courses. During this time I was the scoutmaster in my son’s boy scout troop. I used some of the good technology I learned to grow the scout troop from 35 to 120 scouts. Today we have one of the most successful scouting programs in the country-producing 2000 merit badges in two years. We graduate about 30% Eagle scouts-the national average is 2%.

My wife also started courses at the Church of Scientology. About that time my son was getting straight Fs in school. He was evaluated by the school psychologist as ADHD. Robin started working with him everyday after school. He was in bad shape but with the study skills she’d learned, she quickly got him up to speed and through over 30 missed assignments. Now he’s a better than average student and enjoys school. He’s in the 8th grade and winning. Robin and LRH tech saved a kid with a brilliant mind from a system that knows nothing of the student who’s different from the bland idiots they’re used to creating.

I could have stopped reaching for a better life when I was making more money but my consulting group showed me that there is more to life. I don’t type fast enough or express myself well enough to tell you the wins and achievements I’ve had. – S.S

Caroline, what is the "General Sherman" tank that EO's are looking for?

The material you have posted would be laughable if it were not real. Since it is real, it is fascist. Scientology smothers people with extreme, excessive control.

This policy letter directs Scientologists to use the SP doctrine as a "legal" way to get around their many medical and psych claims, and to lure people in.

One never achieves the high mark without finding something else on the way up.

We have resolved healing.

Clearing, of course, resolves it, and we can clear. There is however a lower level of resolution of sickness which any trained HPA/HCA can do easily. Indeed it is about the easiest auditing that any auditor ever did. The entire technical rundown on it is contained in HCOB 30 July 62, A SMOOTH HGC 25 HOUR INTENSIVE. I will be writing other bulletins on this. When this was first released, reports began to come in from various quarters that it was extremely successful. Further research reveals that, with the new series of buttons (HCOB 30 Aug. 62, ORDER OF PREPCHECK BUTTONS) this is an easily applied solution to chronic somatics. Without exaggeration, this address to healing is the resolution of illness at lower technical levels when properly done. Fifty to two hundred hours can be devoted to a case, using this, as well as twenty-five. Do not confuse this with the 1961 Problems Intensive. It has similarities but is new.

Central Organizations, centers and field auditors should begin an immediate program on this. By healing you can graduate a pc up to clearing interest and thus we have a lower-level feeder line, capable of successful accomplishment with normal HCA/HPA training.

This program has the following thought major:

MAYBE YOU'RE NOT SICK

MAYBE YOU'RE JUST SUPPRESSED

SEE US AND FIND OUT


The phrasing can be more elegant, the message remains the same.

Legally, this permits us to heal without engaging in healing as, in actual fact, we address no illnesses and indeed, deny people are ill—they are only suppressed. Sickness occurs, we say, where suppression has been too great.

The argument is—Have you been sick? Did you go to doctors to be cured? Did they cure it? Then (as they didn't) maybe you're not sick, maybe you're just suppressed. So take some processing and find out.

And the person gets well! We use on him the exact button he came to us on. So he's never dismayed at any change of tack on our part. Then we interest him in clearing.

This, I am sure, is the long-sought gradient. This, used right, will build our new buildings, use our Academy graduates and give us a chance to train up auditors to clearing.

Therefore, I recommend you get versions of this on cards for students and staff to hand out, retailor[sic] public literature handouts, and even get ads as we can in papers and street bus ads. Many promotion ideas leap to mind on this.

The legal argument is simple; we don't believe in sickness, we do not address illness, we do not diagnose, we believe that freeing the human spirit also incidentally prevents sickness. We are doing prevention. We also find people do not have to be crazy to be suppressed, that nearly everybody is suppressed. We do send acutely ill people to doctors. We advertise to cure no diseases! That last is important legally. We only infer that people who think they are sick are really not, but only suppressed.

Technically, we train up our staffs to handle, in addition to other skills, this new Problems Intensive and we use it in the HGC at all times except when we are actually clearing- and we use CCHs only to prepare to deliver a Problems Intensive.

The Problems Intensive can be many intensives.

This I recommend. Don't downgrade it. It's a suddenly emerged major tool.

We have at this writing these valid processes:

CCHs—HCA/HPA

The new Problems Intensive—HCA/HPA

Goals listing—HCA/HPA

Goals finding—Saint Hill grads

Item listing—HCA/HPA

So let's use our reserves of good HCAs and HPAs and wipe out illness while waiting for enough auditors to clear them all.

This is the first I have seen or heard of this policy and its suggestions for promotion, with the exception of Guillaume LeSevre talking about a billboard campaign using variations on it with the line, "Maybe you're suppressed." That was in the international association of scientologists (IAS) event where Tom Cruise made his significant contribution.

Everyone watching thought the billboard plan was awesome and new. That was the first and last I heard of those. Has anyone ever seen such a billboard in the last ten years or so?

I guess when I came into scientology in the seventies this policy was looked on as old and not used any more. Unless LeSevre got his billboards that's still the way it is now.

There are two stable data which anyone has to have, understand and KNOW ARE TRUE in order to obtain results in handling the person connected to suppressives.

These data are:

1. That all illness in greater or lesser degree and all foul-ups stem directly and only from a PTS condition.

2. That getting rid of the condition requires three basic actions: A. Discover. B. Handle or disconnect.

Persons called upon to handle PTS people can do so very easily, far more easily than they believe. Their basic stumbling block is thinking that there are exceptions or that there is other tech or that the two above data have modifiers or are not sweeping. The moment a person who is trying to handle PTSs gets persuaded there are other conditions or reasons or tech, he is at once lost and will lose the game and not obtain results. And this is very too bad because it is not difficult and the results are there to be obtained.

To turn someone who may be PTS over to an auditor just to have him mechanically audited may not be enough. In the first place this person may not have a clue what is meant by PTS and may be missing all manner of technical data on life and may be so overwhelmed by a suppressive person or group that he is quite incoherent.

Thus just mechanically doing a process may miss the whole show as it misses the person’s understanding of why it is being done.

A PTS person is rarely psychotic. But all psychotics are PTS if only to themselves. A PTS person may be in a state of deficiency or pathology which prevents a ready recovery, but at the same time he will not fully recover unless the PTS condition is also handled. For he became prone to deficiency or pathological illness because he was PTS. And unless the condition is relieved, no matter what medication or nutrition he may be given, he might not recover and certainly will not recover permanently. This seems to indicate that there are “other illnesses or reasons for illness besides being PTS”. To be sure there are deficiencies and illnesses just as there are accidents and injuries. But strangely enough the person himself precipitates them because being PTS predisposes him to them. In a more garbled way, the medicos and nutritionists are always talking about “stress” causing illness. Lacking full tech they yet have an inkling that this is so because they see it is somehow true. They cannot handle it. Yet they recognize it, and they state that it is a senior situation to various illnesses and accidents. Well, we have the tech of this in more ways than one.

What is this thing called “stress”? It is more than the medico defines it—he usually says it comes from operational or physical shock and in this he has too limited a view.

A person under stress is actually under a suppression on one or more dynamics.

If that suppression is located and the person handles or disconnects, the condition diminishes. If he also has all the engrams and ARC Breaks, problems, overts and withholds audited out triple flow and if ALL such areas of suppression are thus handled, the person would recover from anything caused by “stress”.

Usually the person has insufficient understanding of life or any dynamic to grasp his own situation. He is confused. He believes all his illnesses are true because they occur in such heavy books!

At some time he was predisposed to illness or accidents. When a serious suppression then occurred he suffered a precipitation or occurrence of the accident or illness, and then with repeated similar suppressions on the same chain, the illness or tendency to accidents became prolonged or chronic.

To say then that a person is PTS to his current environment would be very limited as a diagnosis. If he continues to do or be something to which the suppressive person or group objected he may become or continue to be ill or have accidents.

Actually the problem of PTS is not very complicated. Once you have grasped the two data first given, the rest of it becomes simply an analysis of how they apply to this particular person. A PTS person can be markedly helped in three ways: (a) gaining an understanding of the tech of the condition (b) discovering to what or to whom he is PTS (c) handling or disconnecting.*

Someone with the wish or duty to find and handle PTSs has an additional prior step: He must know how to recognize a PTS and how to handle them when recognized.

Thus it is rather a waste of time to engage in this hunt unless one has been checked out on all the material on suppressives and PTSs and grasps it without misunderstoods. In other words the first step of the person is to get a grasp of the subject and its tech. This is not difficult to do; it may be a bit more difficult to learn to run an E-Meter and considerably more difficult to learn how to list for items, but there again this is possible and is much easier than trying to grope around guessing.

With this step done, a person has no real trouble recognizing PTS people and can have success in handling them which is very gratifying and rewarding. Let us consider the easiest level of approach:

i) Give the person the simpler HCO Bs on the subject and let him study them so that he knows the elements like “PTS” and “Suppressive”. He may just cognite right there and be much better. It has happened.

ii) Have him discuss the illness or accident or condition, without much prodding or probing, that he thinks now may be the result of suppression. He will usually tell you it is right here and now or was a short time ago and will be all set to explain it (without any relief) as stemming from his current environment or a recent one. If you let it go at that he would simply be a bit unhappy and not get well as he is discussing usually a late lock that has a lot of earlier material below it.

iii) Ask when he recalls first having that illness or having such accidents. He will at once begin to roll this back and realize that it has happened before. You don’t have to be auditing him as he is all too willing to talk about this in a most informal manner. He will get back to some early this-lifetime point usually.

iv) Now ask him who it was. He will usually tell you promptly. And, as you are not really auditing him and he isn’t going backtrack and you are not trying to do more than key him out, you don’t probe any further.

v) You will usually find that he has named a person to whom he is still connected! So you ask him whether he wants to handle or disconnect. Now as the sparks will really fly in his life if he dramatically disconnects and if he can’t see how he can, you persuade him to begin to handle on a gradient scale. This may consist of imposing some slight discipline on him such as requiring him to actually answer his mail or write the person a pleasant good roads good weather note or to realistically look at how he estranged them. In short what is required in the handling is a low gradient. All you are trying to do is MOVE THE PTS PERSON FROM EFFECT OVER TO SLIGHT GENTLE CAUSE.

vi) Check with the person again, if he is handling, and coach him along, always at a gentle good roads and good weather level and no H E and R (Human Emotion and Reaction) if you please.

That is a simple handling. You can get complexities such as a person being PTS to an unknown person in his immediate vicinity that he may have to find before he can handle or disconnect. You can find people who can’t remember more than a few years back. You can find anything you can find in a case. But simple handling ends when it looks pretty complex. And that’s when you call in the auditor.

But this simple handling will get you quite a few stars in your crown. You will be amazed to find that while some of them don’t instantly recover, medication, vitamins, minerals will now work when before they wouldn’t. You may also get some instant recovers but realize that if they don’t you have not failed.

The auditor can do “3 S&Ds” after this with much more effect as he isn’t working with a completely uninformed person.

“3 S&Ds” only fail because of wrong items or because the auditor did not then put in triple rudiments on the items and then audit them out as engrams triple flow.

A being is rather complex. He may have a lot of sources of suppression. And it may take a lot of very light auditing to get him up to where he can do work on suppressives since these were, after all, the source of his overwhelm. And what he did to THEM might be more important than what they did to HIM but unless you unburden HIM he may not get around to realizing that.

You can run into a person who can only be handled by Expanded Dianetics.

But you have made an entrance and you have stirred things up and gotten him more aware and just that way you will find he is more at cause.

His illness or proneness to accidents may not be slight. You may succeed only to the point where he now has a chance, by nutrition, vitamins, minerals, medication, treatment, and above all, auditing, of getting well. Unless you jogged this condition, he had no chance at all: for becoming PTS is the first thing that happened to him on the subject of illness or accidents.

Further, if the person has had a lot of auditing and yet isn’t progressing too well, your simple handling may all of a sudden cause him to line up his case.

So do not underestimate what you or an auditor can do for a PTS. And don’t sell PTS tech short or neglect it. And don’t continue to transfer or push off or even worse tolerate PTS conditions in people.

You CAN do something about it.

And so can they.

My experience has been that ad campaigns of all kinds were continually being reported in the various types of issues (magazines and events included) coming from scientology management. I never saw any evidence of those nor have I ever heard anyone saying they had seen them. The exception would have been the TV ads and the infomercial for dianetics but I was away at the time and did not get any report on those. Otherwise it seemed to me that all the good stuff management was telling about was happening somewhere else than where our org was located. It gave me feelings of "downstatness." (Don't go looking for that one in the scientology dictionaries. I just coined it and mean it satirically.) Of course now I don't care. Lie all you want to your scientology public, Davey.
