Thanks Smurf. So maybe Bella was born in Dade County. If Bella and Connor (when he turns 18) have medical issues, they'd be wise to find their biological parents, and learn what diseases may have been inherited in their DNA.
However, Bella should wait until Jan 17, 2013, when Connor will be 18. If she starts this process while Connor is still a minor, Tom could force Connor to disconnect from her, and worse, force Connor into Sea Org. If Bella starts the process before January 2013, it would be hard to keep her e-mail, browsing history, phone calls and snail mail secret from everyone, especially blabby teen friends and Tom Cruise, so she would need to live in her own apartment or with a supportive and non-blabby Nicole. If there is a dramatic reunion with the birth mother or father before January 2013 it will be impossible to keep it secret. Better to wait, and hope that when she confides in an adult Connor, he will join her quest, or at least quietly support her.
Going on the Florida Adopion Reunion Registry after January 2013 could be a brother-sister project, with interesting results. I have close relatives who did an open adoption, and many adoptees are intensely longing to find their biological parents. I respect the feelings of the adopting parents that they don't want to share the child with someone who signed away all rights years ago.
However, a Sea Org worker might have been coerced into the adoption. When the woman got pregnant, CoS may have separated her from the biological father and gotten her to lie to the father that she had a miscarriage. Or, the father was a favored and loyal Sea Org officer, even Miscavige himself. The birth mother could have been working at Gold and, when pregnant, sent to Florida to hide the pregnancy from gossipy Californian Sea Org workers. It's possible that foreign Sea Org workers with poor English helped house and support the birth mother in Florida without ever learning her name. Besides the strong Sea Org network in Florida to control the birth mother, Sea Org also has cooperative and discreet lawyers in Florida. The birth mother might even have been told to lie about her name and the father's name, on the birth certificate and adoption records. The biological mother might have been lied to ("a nice Scientology family from Atlanta adopted your baby"). Or, the birth mother might be a fully-informed, and fiercely pro-CoS high-ranking Sea Org woman today. With all the craziness, Bella and Connor, after January 2013, should ask for DNA tests to confirm whichever parent(s) they found, and keep pushing until each has found both biological parents.
Another reason to wait until 2013 is that the full story may be even worse than the above, and Bella and Connor need emotional maturity to absorb it. There is no guaranteed fairy-tale ending; and CoS may have covered its tracks so completely the birth parents are unfindable, and the birth parents may never have the freedom to post on adoption-finding data networks. If Bella and Connor haven't kept the search secret, their quest could be found out by Tom while they never did get to find their biological parents. They will have to be discreet and work hard to keep all their relationships as strong as possible.
My guess is Tom Cruise and Kidman were deceived about the adoption being fully voluntary, so they shouldn't fear the full truth. Kidman especially is key. If Tom Cruise becomes irate, Kidman can provide love, job connections, and financial support for Bella and Connor.
