For several years now, you have known me as BTs2Free and I will continue to post and be BTs2Free however, due to recent events and interest in the $cientology cult, I have decided to take off my own mask and leave anonymity to Anonymous.
As well, I feel that my own words and what I have had to say and what I will have to say in the future about the Cult of $cientology will gain more credence and credibility as coming from the real me.
Further, I would like to offer to any of my old friends who have left the Int Base and the SO to feel free to contact me by either PMing me or by writing to me at BTs2Free@yahoo.com. There are many old friends from Scientology and the Sea Org who I’d love to connect with again and continue our friendships if possible. Some of you I’m sure are still in Scientology. Some of you probably wondered what in the hell happened to me. Well, now’s your chance to contact me and find out. I’m still the same dude, although $cientology would have you believe that I am an evil SP set out to suppress people and destroy the world! Ha ha hahahahahahahah! JK!
The main reason I have remained anonymous all these years is for fear that Scientology would come after me and apply their Fair Game policies against me as they already have. When I first came out and started posting as Thetabopper on ARS, OSA figured out who I was and had me fired from my job (a Scientologist owned company called FinancialChoices.com), had me watched and followed me on a number of occasions. That is until I called the police on them and called Kirsten at OSA Int and threatened further legal action unless it stopped. All has been quiet since.
Why am I coming out now?
To answer this, I have to take a look at myself and my own values which goes back to why I joined Scientology and the Sea Org in the first place. My main purpose in life was to help people and to make a difference in the world – to make the world a better place. I erroneously thought that Scientology offered these solutions and so dedicated my life to that cause. Only years later after many years of brainwashing and human rights violations did I realize that I had made the wrong choice and was riding the wrong train.
Most public Scientologists think that they have found the answers to life in Scientology. They honestly believe that Scientology will help them and save mankind from inevitable destruction. The further you go in Scientology the more and more it is impressed into you that Scientology contains the ONLY answers. That Scientology’s “making it” is the ONLY thing that will save you and your friends from complete darkness for all eternity.
That is why I joined the Sea Org and signed the billion year contract. Of course saving the planet would be the right thing to do.
Here’s the catch though – the further you move up in Scientology and I’m mainly speaking about the administrative lines, you see how messed up the whole thing is. You see how staff and SO members are treated and NOT cared for. You see that no matter how hard you work or how dedicated you become to the cause, it doesn’t really matter to anyone at all really. One day you could be on the top of everyone’s hero list and the next day, all at the whim of an angry executive you’re the scum of the earth.
I was so dedicated as a Sea Org member during my tenure that I worked my way up to the top. I was at the Int Base for over a decade. Some of the posts/positions I held as staff and SO are as follows: Public Contact Sec CC Dallas, President’s Secretary Celebrity Centre International (under Karen Hollander and I did help recruit Tommy Davis unfortunately), Dianetics Routes Product Manager Central Marketing Unit, Assembly Line Receptionist Planetary Dissem Org (PDO), Master at Arms PDO, Chief MAA Gold, De-PTSer for the Int Base (all base orgs). As well, I was on the RTC Int Data Base Mission (which has been posted about previously) - I was assigned all of the Exec Strata and several divisions of Gold which meant that I had to go through every single ethics file, PC folder and personnel file and data entry all incriminating evidence on the SO members of those areas into a computer data base.
Why did I decide to leave the Sea Org? (I’ll get back to why I am coming out now).
As the De-PTSer of the Int Base I had a personal relationship with every single SO member at Int. I really did care for every person there and felt that doing my job was crucial to us making it. My job was to ensure that nobody on the base was PTS (a Potential Trouble Source: one connected to an SP or someone antagonistic to Scientology) so that we could get on with our jobs smoothly without “suppression”. Yes, there were many situations where staff had family members who were antagonistic towards Scientology and many instances where staff members felt that their only solution was to disconnect from their family members. And yes, disconnection from family was enforced on many occasions due to family members not being “handled” on Scientology. I tried my best to ensure that this was a “last resort” measure, but we were so brainwashed in the Tech that disconnection was and seemed necessary.
Over the years as De-PTSer, I did MANY interviews on staff to discover sources of suppression. One thing I started to note was how many people kept coming up as items of suppression who were right there on the base. The two top people on the base who continued to come up as SP items for staff at the base were (drum roll...........) David Miscavige and Marc Yager! Ta dah! I kid you not.
Not only had I myself witnessed David Miscavige physically abuse a couple of base staff, but it kept coming up in PTS interviews that Dave was beating up on other people as well. Marc Yager continued to come up as an SP for CMO Int staff as well.
Mind you, from my position I was scared as hell because I had to report in my worksheets that this was the case. I mentally started to feel like I was a walking target symbol. It’s no wonder that it didn’t take long for me to be removed from post and blacklisted over another staff member’s fuck up. And it turns out that the reason I was removed from post and sent to the decks was because of a fabricated story from Marty Rathbun – reported to David Miscavige about me.
I became the subject of an entire COB base briefing and the next couple years was the scum of the earth.
That’s one reason why I left the Sea Org. I realized that no matter how hard you work or how dedicated and honest you are, it doesn’t matter. Especially if you’re getting close to the truth of what’s really happening behind the scenes.
As well, I was getting sick and tired of the overboardings, the beatings, the sec checks, the interrogations, the investigations, the spyings, the witch hunts, the anger and the punishments. The lack of sleep. The lack of pay. The lack of time off. The lack of no family. The lack of my wife. The lack of happiness. The lack of a life. It all started to add up to me deciding to get the fuck out.
My name is John Peeler. If you knew me, you would have known me from being a Scientologist in Los Angeles or at the Int base. I started Scientology as a kid in 1977 and went to the infamous Apple School. I also went to Delphi LA and Oregon. I lived in Dallas, Texas for a while which is where I started staff at CC Dallas in 1988 or early 89 and then joined the Sea Org at CC Int in LA.
I feel that my involvement in this dangerous cult led to many other people getting involved and so feel that it’s also my responsibility to speak out and at least try to right my wrongs or handle any bad karma that may still be headed my way. I feel that I need to take responsibility for my own actions and that’s the main reason why the mask is coming off.
