Think about the effect on TC if the audience put on their masks
during the show, A whole audience of anons,
I dont want religious freedom, what i want is freedom from religion.

Wha the hellz?

So, is this supposed to be, that old 1950's Marcabian TV show: "This is Your Life: Tom Cruise"...or mayhaps, "Queen for a Day?"

It’s not clear what the focus of this show will be, but it is well-timed to May sweeps, and a quick look at the calendar shows that this summer is the 25th anniversary of Cruise’s breakthrough role in “Risky Business.”

A rep for Warner Home Video does confirm that there are “special plans” for the anniversary, and details are being finalized. Other celebrities have been contacted about being involved in the show according to sources close to them, so expect it to be an A-list hour of television.

Oprah is detatched from reality. Just ask all the husbands of the stay-at-home wives who watch her show.

Maybe it is just me, but I found the first show sooo painful to watch. I'm actually dreading this one, but I'll still watch anyway.

This is damage control. TC may be a Scilon fanatic, but he's not a total fool. He is in professional trouble and he knows it. This interview may mark the beginning of an effort to rehab his reputation; he begins with Oprah, who is safe - he knows she will ask ZERO tough questions. IMHO, look for cuddly family images and nothing too outré about Scn - perhaps very little mention of it at all.

Short of leaving scientology, the trainwreck is rolling downhill for Cruise. Any TV station would be absoloutely mad to book Tom Cruise for some soft complimentary chatshow spot months down the line. Oprah is going to look like even more of an out-of-touch idiot than she already is if she ignores all the mayhem happening in and around him and his dear cult.

He'll cry that everyone is being cruel to him and then he'll probably just flash his smile off at the goofy wet-knickered housewives in the audience (who will have been vetted to ensure there is no enturbulation). There will be a lot of that ridiculous american whooping and screaming which hopefully will cause Cruise to do another mad couch jump or swing from the studio lights like a chimp or something, which will guarantee even more YouTube material and DMCA take-down requests.

The Independent newspaper (UK) blog takes the cynical approach ;) (as if there was any other way to take it)....

"The Gutter Sniper: Time for Tom Cruise to get that break"
snippet....
Though really, the possibilities are endless. In fact here at Independent House we're thinking of starting a sweep-stake (Ladbrokes, take note).

Some cynical folk have suggested that it's to announce his divorce (odds at 386:1) others his conversion to kabbalah (55:1) and others his intention to run for president (far and away the most likely, with odds of 12:1). Only one thing though: let's hope his bid doesn't clash with Madonna's. Or - even better - let's hope that it does.

I wonder if they will talk about Suri's 100,000 second birthday celebration.

This one made me laugh, not so much the article (which is bitchily funny) but the headline:

Tom Cruise Returns To Finish Oprah Off.

lol!

Interesting Doperah related tidbit caught reading the comments on a "Deadline Hollywood Daily" post about CAA uber-agent (and Pellicano firend) Kevin Huvane throwing a par-tay for "Girls Gone Wild" mogul and recently-released from prison scumbag Joe Francis:

http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/w ... s-clients/
What CAA's Kevin Huvane Is Doing To Risk Losing His Many Actress Clients
I'm told CAA partner Kevin Huvane is throwing a belated birthday party on Saturday night for recently released from prison Joe Francis, the scandalous founder of Mantra Films Inc, which produces those disgusting Girls Gone Wild soft-porn video and DVD series which have prompted so many complaints that women and even underage girls were filmed without their permission. But it's not only Francis's professional behavior that's controversial, but also his personal behavior. You may remember this article from the August 6, 2006 issue of the Sunday magazine of the Los Angeles Times by Claire Hoffman in which she described an incident in which Francis "humiliated" her by pinning her to the hood of a car and twisting her arms hard behind her back (so hard she feared he'd break them) while he pushed himself against her and shouted -- apparently demonstrating his 2003 arrest in Florida. Hoffman claimed that "the pressure he applied was so intense that hours later, my arms were covered in red hand marks."

There also have been many accusations leveled against Francis by women and even underage girls alleging he sexually exploited them and even worse. And then there are the charges of tax evasion, business fraud, drug trafficking, and on and on. Given all this, it can only be deemed surprising that Huvane, because he is prominent in a talent industry where perception is everything, would have anything to do with this guy, much less throw him a birthday bash. Not only does Huvane represent some of the top actresses in Hollywood, including Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Renee Zellweger, Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep and Glenn Close, but many of these women are feminists to one degree or another. Kidman, in fact, is the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Development Fund for Women and just this week spoke out in favor of UNIFEM's "Say NO To Violence Against Women" campaign to raise public awareness for the subject. I alerted CAA today that I was writing about this, and the agency did not deny or explain Huvane's involvement with Francis. Huvane had no comment. Instead, a source at the agency thought it was "weird" this would be a story for me.
Found this quote in the "comments":
Oprah just signed a deal with CAA.

Let’s see if she speaks up.

Her empire was built by women, yet she betrays them.

What say you this time, Oprah? Instead of having embarrassing lovefest appearances with Maria Shriver, why don’t you do a show on something worthwhile like this?

Odds at Ladsbroke are 12:1 that Tommy is running for President?

This is slightly resonant of what Will Smith has been barking mad about, saying that he could be president, too...would Will be willing to take the VP spot with Tom this election?

Oh, pleeeeze, Tom...run for President. Oh please, do.

The candidate financials disclosure required by law alone would be such a hoot.

And the exposure by mainstream media 24/7of TC's personal life and the cult's endless stream of crimes would be utterly priceless.

And what would be the name of Cruise's party? The "Homo Novus Party?" The "Billion Year Presidential Term Party?" The "Gul-ux-sic Confederacy Party?" The "Golden Age of 1984 Party?" The "OSA Owns You Party?" The "Fair Game Party?" The "Disconnection Party?" The "David Miscavige's Personal Party?" The "Destroy 2.5% of the World's Population Quietly and Without Sorrow Party?"

WTF?
